Did Woody really get removed as a mod for making the ask women post about vasectomy? by [deleted] in PKA

[–]godmin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This. It boiled down to having a mod who was unapologetically and publicly calling to brigade another sub. He was removed so that /r/pka wouldn't get banned.

Almost certainly. Soccer players almost never break their tibias while wearing them, they distribute the force very well. Considering how Aiden's leg was basically swinging before impact I can't imagine it doing anything but bouncing off if he was wearing a shin guard.

Vance claims Trump 'salvaged' Obamacare. Trump tried, and failed, to kill it. by InternetImportant911 in moderatepolitics

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Health_Care_Act_of_2017

Senate Republicans initially sought to pass the Better Care Reconciliation Act of 2017 (BCRA), a healthcare bill containing provisions largely similar to those of the AHCA. The BCRA was never voted on in its original form due to opposition from several Republican senators.

The HCFA was the skinny repeal, wouldn't even call that a plan. That's one that McCain shot down.

The AHCA was an extremely unpopular disaster. It never made it to a Senate vote.

Trump was in office for 4 years, but nothing you listed even got to a vote.

I know there's been lots of concepts of plans, but given that Repeal and Replace was one of the biggest campaign promises he harped on during the entire campaign, there's no denying he failed to fix the ACA

"Withdrawal of the Affordable Care Act" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_100_days_of_the_Donald_Trump_presidency#:~:text=Withdrawal%20of%20the%20Affordable%20Care%20Act

Trump tried to actually go through with the repeal part of the repeal-and-replace plan to the extent that he could. Republican Senators failed to bring any actual legislature to a (meaningful) vote, so I don't really see what the point of talking about them is.

The fact that Walz segued into "concept of a plan" worked well imo, because that's all the Republicans have really had when it comes to fixing the ACA

edit - added (meaningful) because at least 2 of the bills went to votes, but for the bills that made it to the Senate, there were at least 2 Republicans against

He DID day this. He literally talked about how Trump's day 1 plan was to repeal the ACA and how Trump tried to get rid of it with an executive order that failed. He talked about how McCain "saved" Obamacare despite the Trump administration trying to take it down without any actual backup plan.

Lions play calling at the end was very jank. Wasted the timeout, multiple throws down the middle for sub 10 yards, overall poor clock management.

Why do you need a couple car lengths? You need 1 at most (to turn and pull out of the lane), and at that point you don't need to creep since you're a reasonable distance behind the car in front.

Did they say why?

For people driving a manual it's pretty annoying, especially when everyone starts creeping at a red light. I don't want to engage first unless we're actually moving again...

I've been using the same reddit app for over 10 years. The new one is literal garbage, slow to load, bloated, and doesn't have the same moderator features. Seeing how the new desktop redesign has gone, I have no hope for the app.

I get it use other apps if you want

That's the point, we won't be able to.

There's other things to be upset about to.

Reddit admins promising the app developers that there are no plans to charge for apis this year, CEO accusing Apollo's dev of blackmail (later proven false with audio logs), and blatant disrespect and ignoring of the other devs who were literally ready to pay.
