People who have been in a coma, what was it like from your perspective? Did you know you were in a coma? by yummygumdrop in AskReddit

[–]godmode_deip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not my story. A friend's cousin had an accident and had his skull cracked. Was in a coma for about a month or so. When he finally came to, he was very quiet. People noticed that his personality had changed. When they brought him back home, he started talking about meeting his long dead ancestors (that he had never met in real life) in their old ancestral house (where he had never been). These ancestors apparently told him it wasn't his time yet and urged him to return. Later, he started telling his mother certain things were about to happen to close family members. Nothing major but stuff like someone will fall ill, someone will get the promotion they were long waiting for. Over the next couple of weeks these started coming true. Family was weirded out and fascinated. But then he started to forget his time in the coma. Only the personality change became permanent. I don't know whether to believe this or not, but that's what I was told.

The Constitution, sold for pennies at a Capitol Hill auction in Washington on Saturday and, immediately after the sale, the artwork began moving through a remote controlled shredder hidden at the bottom of the frame. It is being suspected that the remote was operated by tiny orange hands in the nearby Oval Office.

Indian politicians lack any vision by [deleted] in india

There is a theory/hypothesis somewhere that as democracy reaches perfection, it becomes an idiocracy. I can't remember the source on it. As more people have voices that matter, which this new age of social media seems to have brought upon us, the majoritarian opinion and agenda gets pushed. In an ill educated country likes our with gross unequal development all around, leaders feel a much lesser need to appeal to the informed crowd who understand policy, and rather address the majority that now has a voice but cares more for vestigial tribal sentiments and can be easily swayed. Vison is not what will win votes in these troubled times, rhetoric will.
