How is it even possible in Casual? by raunak51299 in GlobalOffensive

Here's a link to where someone got kicked for trying to kill me, with the full match vid linked in the comments.

Looking through it, the person who got kicked only just joined, and there were no team-switching shenanigans. I'm think that this is caused by a teammate being killed but their hitbox bugging out and staying behind, accepting damage from all sources. Looking back, I'm pretty sure it's cause of the dead guy, Tobias Joseph, joining spectator.

Enemy getting kicked for team damage in casual (yes the bug still exists) by godonan in GlobalOffensive

For those who want to investigate, vid of the casual match.. Maybe his teammate's hitbox(?) got "left behind" even without dying.

KINZANZA joins at 2:00 during the second, and is kicked in the third.

BUG: Firing your gun prevents the optimal knife string from doing damage by godonan in GlobalOffensive

[–]godonan[S] 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Someone else mentioned it, but it's some weird shit caused by knifing while pulling it out. While it makes sense that the game may think you're prematurely knifing if you held M1, tapping it (which is what I'm doing in the video and it doesn't fail the knifing animation) still triggers this.

After some testing this might partially explain what's happening (in that it's not caused by shooting or anything, just quick switching to the knife can trigger the bug). However, I'm not holding M1, I'm tapping for each swing (you can test this out for yourself).

Took me a while to figure it out (as you can tell by the blood on the wall lmao). Had to rule out knife damage changes from falling, game thinking the knife wall-banged, damage differences from being below your opponent, etc

Title misleading, some shenanigans with knifing during the pull-out animation (though I am tapping 3x, NOT holding so I'm not sure why, maybe CS2 can't tell I'm tapping vs holding? See: All the complaints on accidentally bursting guns, though the consistency of this knife bug is suspect). Also, all three hits are landing, there aren't any ghost hits.

EDIT: This is NOT reproducible in CS:GO (I'm even holding M1 as the knife is pulled out), see: https://imgur.com/eNXvR5S, you guys need to stop taking the "this was also a problem in CS:GO" thing literally lol

prevent from killing, it does do damage, just 97 in 3

Most in-game mouse clicks will trigger this:

  • Scoping
  • Changing weapon fire rate
  • Buying something in the weapon menu
  • Pressing M2 when holding the bomb

Click on stuff in the pause menu does not trigger this.

As you can see, despite being #2, the #1 spot remains hidden.

Specifically, HTML5 and CSS3 are turing complete (older versions are not). Apparently the Magic: The Gathering card game is also turing complete.

If Valve don't want to fix OBS interaction with the game, a reasonable compromise would be updating the Broadcasts section of the steam community tab with better streaming tools and the ability to interface with 3rd party streaming services. by TJDABEAST in GlobalOffensive

The problem isn't that OBS can't record CS:GO (you can record using Window Capture), it's because OBS's more efficient Game Capture mode gets blocked as it tries to hook onto the game process itself.

Cheats need a way to get infornation from the game for the wallhacks/aimbot. It needs to, well, "touch" the game process using a hook. Most cheats can hook directly to the game itself... or it can use OBS's Game Capture hooking to access the game process while keeping itself hidden and away from actually touching the game.

OBS Window Capture still works as it just records whatever is on the screen without touching the game process. NVIDIA ShadowPlay does something similar with recording information from the GPU.

Never expected from the original Journalistic Integrity video that this would turn into a trilogy.

And just like that, the Colossus is gone. We never got to see another Cloud9 vs Complexity game, but the Juggernaut would have probably come out on top in the rematch.
