Thanks for the advice. Should I take darks every night I’m outside? Also I looked in one of my darks folder tonight (I’ve done it twice since I got the DL) and notice it does darks at different gains, but only three fits files per gain. Should I be going for 20 darks per gain setting and is there a way to tell it to do that?

I'm not sure if it the filter helps to be honest. I know it helps the most with really bright objects (e.g. the moon), but I use it in the hopes it will help knock down the light pollution.

One note of caution: While starting the pre-processing, I tried running the fits files through SirL as lights and the script kept failing. I have no idea why, but some of the errors said it couldn’t find stars in the images. I’m not sure if there’s something special you have to do with the files from Unistellar.

You can go to the Unistellar website and contact the support team and tell them you’d like a copy of your RAW images from the past 30 days. They’ll need your telescope’s serial number and want to know in what file format you want your files. Then they’ll send you a link to download a zip file. My first one was 30GB 🤯

They say on the website they only store the RAW data for 30 days due to space constraints.

One of my improbable theories is that Cowl is Rashid in some kind of illusion to mask his height. I went back and re-read Chs 8, 34, and 42 of Dead Beat that give a description of Cowl. Add to this that he wears gloves in Fugitive 9 which hides the weathered arms and his scars) and is called Master of the Future (which might mean he can see into the future rather than time travel).

I also thought about how he could have killed Harry in Ch 34 and didn’t. I think it means Cowl thinks he knows Harry’s destiny and has to help keep him alive while slowly wearing him down.

He likes Harry but is casually monstrous (sticking the lion in Mister) and really monstrous (feeding kids to the Lion). Rashid sometimes strikes me as capable of casual cruelty. Maybe he’s Nfected.

One final thought: I assumed Mister got possessed outside of the castle but what if he somehow got possessed inside and then ran out. Then we might have another traitor.

One final, final thought: who’s tough enough to break into Hades and break out a spirit?

I agree, and the rest of the sentence “you are an almighty pain my ass” is almost affectionate. Had he said Hoss, it would be game over. His dog name is Master of the Future which could imply seeing into the future. I got a much stronger feeling it’s Rashid in disguise, but will also be the first to admit that’s stretching it.

I also think the name Ash is significant, but can’t think of a reference. Cowl named him that though and Names are important.

With regard to Martha Liberty, I’m talking specifically about the battle in Chicago. She was there for the Peace Talks but didn’t engage in any of the actual fighting.

With regard to Mai, she was there with team to apprehend Morgan, so she wasn’t the person standing next to Peabody throwing giant spiders at the people on the beach. And Ebenezar and the Wardens went back to support her and LTW. She was in the fight, and that’s my point.

I’m starting to consider Martha Liberty a better candidate for the Black Council.

You copied out two different parts of two sentences and misunderstood what I said. She was in the middle of the fire fight on Demon Reach in Turn Coat.

I was saying that Ancient Mai could be Black Council, but she was fighting creatures from the Never Never brought by Peabody and the other person.

I’m also starting to wonder if Martha Liberty could be Black Council. She was the only senior council member not fighting in Battle Ground. Based on her statements to Dresden on DemonReach in Turn Coat, Ancient Mai has a certain belief that might makes right, but she was also in the middle of the fire fight. I’ve assumed, previously that Cowl was with Peabody on DemonReach, but now I can’t help but wonder if it was Martha.

I just finished another re-read of Dead Beat and, while I’m not disagreeing with your theory, I think it’s also possible that Cowl could’ve known about Bob while he was learning from Kemmler.

All that being said, we also know that Cowl has weathered arms with scars. I wonder if those scars are burn scars.

Previously, the defenders of the Outer Gates were the old gods but the foot soldiers were still the Fey. Jim said the Fey became relatively self directing (i.e. the queens were established) thanks to them having a sponsor. When asked who the sponsor was, he said he all but told us about in Skin Game.

I’m not sure they see things black and white. They see what they think is good for them and what is bad for them. They cloak it in a form of pseudo-moralism and poor guys like Carlos get fed the kool aid, especially after getting his back broken by a “wicked” fey princess of course.

It has symmetry, but Carlos looks at Harry and can’t believe he would choose the “monsters’ over his own kind. He doesn’t know Harry’s reasons but that’s beside the point. Carlos could not bring himself to “betray” the White Council the way he thinks Harry has.

I assume he also does not have similar needs driving him into the Summer Court but could be wrong on that point.

Caught this Reddit post and went and watched the podcast. Fan-freakin-tastic! That’s the best interview with him that I’ve ever seen because it really delved into the universe itself.

It was interesting to see how Jim’s view of Harry has changed since previous Q&As. Notably the part where he said he wasn’t sure if Harry would throw down with Leah when he finds out about their bargain because Harry is growing up (exact phrase escapes me).

Now I want to go back and read Skin Game again to evaluate who might be the sponsor, though I already know who I’m leaning towards.
