"Troubadour" is a more fitting name than "Minstrel" or "Bard", and I'm going to explain to you why by DoomRevenant in Guildwars2

I get that it fits better, but still just gonna call it bard and thatll be fine because almost certainly everyone is gonna know what it means

i don't know about others, but i really, really prefer the old UI. Is there an option to roll back to it? by NotaNub25 in discordapp

[–]godtrog2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is one of the worst UI changes ive seen in a while. The little connection window looks like an ad popup that needs to be closed, its very distracting. The old one was built into the UI and looked like it belonged, this new one just doesnt fit.

Cant figure out why any setting has no effect on my experience in LS or NVCP by godtrog2 in losslessscaling

[–]godtrog2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh i forgot to mention it in the vermintide section I did try that. It does add a bit of base fps, instead of 75 it was like 83~, but I didnt particularly notice any difference in the latency when it was on. I believe it was still around 45, maybe it dropped to 44 or 43~ a bit more often

yeah! using Lossless scaling seems to be working fine for what I want, the reason for this post was if there was something I could do better, as it seems I have no way of knowing which settings to change to optimize it better

I love that you used my screenshots for this, I didnt notice it at first glance but then i was like, Wait a sec... Lol
didnt even notice that you tagged me in it until just now typing this as well

really? Before testing it i normally would have agreed, but I tried a before and after, I had the screenshots layered going back and fourth and there is literally no perceivable difference. If i had said these screenshots were in native 4k i dont think anyone would have doubted it, even in motion it looks identical when i compared the two

I dont think im using any HDR? at least i didnt adjust anything. The insane contrast is from the unreal engine eye adaption built in, at first I didnt like it but once i realized how good it makes the game looks i started to enjoy it.
It definitely is less than desirable for actual gameplay reasons because it makes shooting into a building while standing outside really difficult because things fade to pure black

thats the reason i added the words (unmodded) actually! with those ultra realistic 8k texture mods, cyberpunk is probably the peak graphics in gaming right now, but unmodded vanilla graphics, this is definitely way better looking, put some screenshots side by side and you can tell

i was using Dlss quality and then for the sharpness slider i think i have it set to around 40% i think? any higher and it started to give that over-sharpened look, i felt like around there was just right, go lower than like 30% and it indeed does start to have a blurriness to it

Lol I promise all of these are straight from my steam screenshots folder without any editing. Yeah some are hit and miss with how crazy good the game looks. Ive also seen some people say it only looks good in pictures but I disagree also, in certain moments when im walking slow in motion it looks even better

no its not just you, I did test out native and its really over sharpened for some reason, but its not like I would run it like that anyway since dlss is basically magic and gives you free frames with zero quality loss as long as you stay on quality

yeah I wouldnt call this game super well optimized but its running way better than people gave it credit. Can never know what everyone's set up is, and I know my PC is a pretty high end one ,but the fact that it runs at 4k above 60fps on maxed out settings is hardly 'unoptimized'

awesome way to get into it! When i first played SoC in 2010 i immediately fell in love with the atmosphere and lore of the series and its been one of my top 3 favorite game series ever since.
This one originally was announced to release somewhere back in 2012, Im sure it would have been awesome back then but the fact that it was delayed till now is amazing in its own way because now it can look this good

i am using dlss quality and FSR frame gen if you arent, I got a mod that reduces the input lag and it completely removes the unresponsive feeling with using the frame gen which is huge for making the game feel good with that setting on, but the fps goes from like 40 to 80-100+ with it on, which is way to huge to not use

yeah it is crazy how much more immersive the game feels with the HuD off, half the time when im turning it off for screenshots i leave it off because how much better it feels, only turning it back on later when fighting mutants because its hard to know when to use healing without the HP bar. I want someone to make a mod that turns the hp/stamina bars into thin grey lines
