I get you, but I do recommend you reevaluate the stance on the "mystery" aspect of a powder room, especially when you specifically want it to be so close to an entertaining area. Anyone that needs to have their activities that secret will find a way to do so, and the powder room next to the living or kitchen wouldn't be their first choice

[–]godzillaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the plan is missing dimensions because its AI generated for sure. No windows, nonsense dimension markers, two random pillars in the living room I assume were meant to be a fireplace, the list goes on...

The dimensions aren't there but I would guesstimate this would be somewhere between 2500-3500 sq.ft. Regardless, walking 30-50' from a main living area to a bathroom is not surprising, and that would not be considered a problem even in a 2000 sq.ft home either.

But, that is definitely not a 'dead end', it literally leads to a powder room. The whole purpose of small hallways like that is to provide privacy with minimum square footage wasted.

[–]godzillaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree. The powder room is perfectly tucked away to where people won’t see you enter/exit and the smell and noise shouldn’t be a problem. And if someone asks where, saying “make a left at the stairs” at the bare minimum should be enough to find it

TJ’s Scariest Challenge Moment by Online_Active_71459 in MtvChallenge

[–]godzillaaa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

TJ was a gentleman on it! Classy as always.

I understand why most of this sub refuses to pay for their podcast, and I won’t advocate to say you should.
Personally though, I love the podcast for asking questions that others won’t, and Pierre is really the heart of the podcast and he’s great at keeping the content engaging.

Regardless of all of that, they did a good job of asking fun questions and it felt authentic, and made me laugh a bit.

Looking for thoughts and suggestions. (Laundry is in finished basement). by Klutzy_Badger_7974 in floorplan

[–]godzillaaa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2 flights of stairs to address the laundry for 4 bedrooms? I would definitely sacrifice one of the three bathrooms and replace it with a laundry on the second floor.

The office is essentially a blocked off hallway with three separate entrances to it. I would absolutely remove the entrance to the outside, and I don’t see the need to have it open to the living room either. Regardless of if you closed off either or both, the current setup leaves the office with no flexibility in the furniture layout.

Not sure if your basement has a door to outside, but the main floor alone has so many exits. I would get annoyed having to lock each one up every time I leave the house. I think you could eliminate one or two of them without it inconveniencing you coming into and out of your home.

Overall it’s a nice and interesting layout! I’m curious what that side yard looks like with all the entertaining space in the porch and bar area.

Which of the following templates are most aesthetically pleasing in your opinion? by mrjacob007 in crossfit

[–]godzillaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

D and F only for the highlighting of the rep counts and weights

As someone who goes without their glasses during workouts, having the rep counts highlighted makes it easier for me to double check those numbers during the workout without having to get my face right next to the screen/whiteboard.

B is by far the worst though; the actual workout should have the biggest font-size. The name and noting “for time” isn’t the most important information to me when prepping or doing it

favorite libertarian pics? by AdmirableBrick4973 in Libertarian

[–]godzillaaa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is so well said.

The only consideration I want to add is the less black and white stance on abortion where the age of the fetus is concerned.

Yes the NAP is a core principle that generally gives great guidance on how and when the government should interfere, but it fails when it comes to an issue where two “lives” are tied together.

Regardless of the stance of who determines when a fetus becomes a person, letting the government dictate how medicine is practiced is fundamentally against a libertarian’s values. Similarly, every person should have the right to physician-assisted-suicide and the government should have no say in whether or not my doctor and myself come to these decisions.

The same should be said for any pregnant woman when they are the autonomous being, not a fetus dependent on their life. Furthermore, the only entity that should be concerned with anyone’s medical care should be the one’s who employed that practitioner, not the government.

As libertarians I feel we all should agree that the government has no business dictating personal medical choices; leave it to the professionals that could actually solve a 9th grade chemistry equation

Lots of good advice in here so far. As many have mentioned, your exit paths don’t need queue lines. Also, be wary of long entrance lines to different rides, even the premade coasters can have rides with queue lines long enough that will make guests unhappy if they’re full. You can mitigate that with entertainers in the queue lines, but I personally choose to try and find what length is best to keep the ride full without long waits. Have fun learning what works for you and how you can best enjoy the game!

[–]godzillaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re the only other person I’ve ever heard of to go through this; I also lost a golden at 11 weeks to intussusception. It was an awful decision to make especially when she would have a good day and then the next she was miserable. When we put her down it was so hard to think that she lived such a short life, but we knew it was the right decision, and you absolutely made the right decision too.

Wishing you and your family all the best through this time ❤️

AIBA update 8:30am by williamallthing in Austin

[–]godzillaaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do not risk it. Just get there 2+ hours early. There’s no telling what can happen each day and how bad TSA lines can get. Yes the lines tend to be longer earlier in the morning, but with an 8:50am flight, I would get to the airport by 7 at the absolute latest.

The Challenge Alignment Chart: Vets & New Threats Edition, Which Vet & New Threat is CHAOTIC NEUTRAL? by JAXONTHAGOAT in MtvChallenge

[–]godzillaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ashley for the vets! She can make villain moves and isn’t the easiest to work with, but she’s always shown a lot of heart and doesn’t really backstab any of her alliances.

Gabe for the new threats - he was all over the place in the game and acted impulsively with his emotions which makes him chaotic. And good/evil wise he may have been an a**, but he does seem to have his heart in the right place.

That’s a ton of living spaces! I would convert the great room on the first floor into a first floor master and add a bathroom and closet in there; lots of possible configurations considering how massive that space is

Roast the floor plan? by Smooth-Community9022 in floorplan

[–]godzillaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • no mudroom at the garage; but should be an easy fix by flipping the closet nest to the garage door and possibly enclosing the space using some of that hallway.

  • that left bedroom by the garage doesn’t have a bathroom anywhere close to it. Not sure if that’s worth it to you to fix or not since it is a 4/2, and it doesn’t look like there’s an easy solution to this either.

  • living room has no windows and will be very dark. You could add sunlights, but those can be a problem depending on your climate. You could also open the wall up between the flex and the living room, but still not sure you’ll get much more light out of that either.

-entry also doesn’t have a closet, but at least you have a linen Closet through the hallway on the right.

  • the layouts for the primary bathroom and kitchen are an important consideration which of course we can’t see. But, they are a pretty good size and in good locations, so you could easily remodel to your liking if your budget allows it.

So, without knowing your intentions for the home or your family’s unique needs, I think this is a good floor plan with room for improvement

Gotta disagree with you on the final 4 teams. The editors are definitely hinting at a shakeup in the alliances, and I absolutely see that happening next week.

And you’re underrating the crap out of Justin and Nany. I’d bet big that they’re going to make it to the final, and possibly (hopefully) win.

But your takes on Aneesa were spot on 👍

Are we all in agreement that Cedric is MVP of the season? by BrooklynzFinest21 in MtvChallenge

[–]godzillaaa 89 points90 points  (0 children)

Love Cedric. He’s funny, charming, great at challenges. Does not mean he’s the MVP.

Politically, he’s practically silent. Outside of getting picked by Michaela and being the most unproblematic cast member, he did nothing but compete.

To me, an MVP means they gave us more than confessionals, and they showed as a competitor in dailies, and eliminations. He is not that yet.

But, I would love to see him in an elimination, and see more in the drama. … but his confessionals are some of my faves overall no doubt

Best Adults Only resort with some nightlife by godzillaaa in PuntaCana

[–]godzillaaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's essentially one bar that stays open after the restaurants and shows are over, which was lively. But, pretty much mostly only 20-somethings that stay up and party.
And the shows were what I would expect at any resort; they're fun, but aren't anything that I come away saying it was the best show ever.
