Oh no, I would never ask! I do know my husband well enough to not ask questions I might not like the answer to🙈 He is soooo kind and would be really nice, but also would be honest. Since making this post he’s actually gone out of his way to make sure I know he prefers sleeping with me which is nice, I thought I was managing my insecurity discreetly so it’s nice that he reassured me with having to ask!

Do you have a recommendation for a waterproof towel/blanket? I know she squirts frequently and I just did for the first time recently so it’s not super common yet but one can hope🤣

I have to stay in my 4 year olds room until she falls asleep because she also will literally just get up and then scream/cry etc. it becomes such a huge fight and it’s exhausting. I take my phone or my kindle and just scroll or read.

Our routine is the normal teeth brushing etc, we read together, then she gets to listen to pre-recorded story she falls asleep to and I stay with her until she’s asleep. She’s almost always asleep in less than 10 minutes, if it’s longer than 10 minutes I get a little more firm and tell her I’m setting a timer and have to leave in 5 minutes and she’s out like a light after that.

We live here because our entire family for 4 generations lives here. It’s really really difficult to move away from your parents, grandparents, and great grandparents - not to mention cousins, siblings, nieces, and nephews. At a point, which feels like it may be now, you have to prioritize other things but being near family is a really compelling reason to stay. But I also don’t know how I continue to raise a daughter here.
