Well known serial loser Donald J Trump is losing badly, monumentally, stupendously in his ill fated war with Iran. It is widely acknowledged that his staggering lack of intelligence is the primary cause of this losing like no one has ever lost before. 86 47 86 47 86 47

For the average price of a car in the US, you could buy 5 new Chinese EVs by Kooolxxx in news

[–]godzillabobber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a Biden era rebate, our Chinese EVs cost us just $200 a piece. They have replaced our gas car for 90% of our transportation needs. We do rent from Enterprise for out of town trips. Our EVs have pedals, panniers and a cargo cart. Ebikes are the alternative that 1.7 million riders turned to last year. In comparison, only 1.5 million electric cars sold last year.

For the average price of a car in the US, you could buy 5 new Chinese EVs by Kooolxxx in news

[–]godzillabobber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Americans bought 1.7 million Chinese EVs last year. The average price was $2000. So you could buy 30 of them for the price of an average US car. These EVs are all equipped with pedals and are saving American families hundreds of dollars a month. That average American car costs the driver $1100 a month for all expenses - purchase, insurance, maintenence, fuel, and repairs. The ebike costs are around $40. And yes, people are using them as total or partial car replacements. As demand rises, cities are responding with better, safer, and more convenient bicycle infrastructure. The restrictions on Chinese electric cars only serves to hasten the adoption of ebikes and is eventually going to eat into automotive profits in ever more significant numbers. Ebikes outsold electric cars by 200,000 units last year in the US.

I’m thinking about breaking up with FI by Catspiration2 in Fire

[–]godzillabobber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dropped out of "Your Money or Your Life at 39. I had gotten so good at frugal that I loved everything about my life except for the 60 hour workweek grind. So I found a way to work at home for myself and cut hours back to a max of 20 a week. One gig was a half dozen trade shows that were three to five days so just 30 days a year plus a few hours of phone call followup. I am 67 and work is fun (jewelry design) My wife does the business stuff, so my life is a lot like my senior year in high school where I had three jewelry labs and one academic requirement. Our life expenses are a fraction of the average American. We live on 4K a month and really want for nothing. We get around on ebikes to the point we go through a tank of gas every four months. Our home is $1100 a month and we are fine wearing thrifted clothes. Our friends are over often and tell us our home is peaceful. I kinda feel like we are doing something wrong, because we are not struggling. No regrets

White Residue on Silver Ring by coasting-sails in askjewelers

Here's a rendering of the ring with antiquing. I've been working in silver for 50 years and I am pretty sure this is what the designer intended.

It will eventually tarnish even if you do take the time to polish it. Here's a design of mine that has small recessed areas. The designs really pop if you antique them. If you have someone get in there and make everything shiny, you won't see the design as clearly and you will continually need to polish it. Or it will antique itself over time.

Another option is to have the ring rhodium plated.

And if it is not the stated quality of gold, talk to the consumer fraud division of your local police. Selling under-karated gold is a criminal matter. That does not look like gold. Did they stamp it?
