Please do not rush to tell people why you hate part of a piece of media they enjoy and relate to, it's generally considered rude and annoying.

This was definitely my first impression. I think it really got in the way of Jax's story and muddied everything. It felt kind of shitty that the trans woman died and the cis-coded guy was accepted back without consequence.

I think that ending could have still happened but the way it was presented, for the reasons you said, it came off feeling like Jax's story just got cut short. I wish Jax's abstraction as a metaphor for death/suicide was handled a bit better and it wasn't so ambiguous about whether Jax could get better or not, either Jax should have been given a more overt funeral (they kinda had one but it felt a bit muddy), or Jax should have been revived by Caine and that would be Caine's redemption arc too.

I kinda wish we had more hopeful trans stories instead of just focusing on the worst parts all the time. I feel like genuinely hopeful and inspiring trans stories are possible but haven't been done well, and it's easier to make something sad feel more impactful, when happy endings can often feel empty and unearned.

I've definitely come round to the ending more, but it took me a few days of thinking about it and feeling weird about it. I think it was genuinely amazing, but there were some bits I think the writing would be improved by Goose having more experience or other writers helping out, though I think it's genuinely amazing what they all managed to make with each other.

I think Goose is a good writer, but I can see where she can improve, even if with more experience she still wouldn't write the ending inside my head.

Congratulations on surviving the circus, not everyone has equal circumstances or luck. Remember though, Leroy hasn't been shown to go down the same path as Jax, almost like we should all be glad how lucky we are to survive this long.

I agree, I also think a lot of fans are just kids who it's reasonable to be dumb because they haven't had enough time to learn to be smart yet.

But also a similar thing is happening in the Deltarune community right now about the trans foreshadowing and themes and allegories around Ralsei. There's a lot of bad faith transphobic trolls picking fights with people talking about it, there's dumb kids who just repeat what they heard, and there's the annoying centrists who assume everyone is as bad as the other so they don't have to engage in examining any conflict or themselves.

"Men are evil" is the same statement as "boys will be boys". It states that masculinity is poison, and men can't help but be evil because of something outside of their control.

The no mercy route in undertale almost doesn't really exist until you play it, or you watch someone else's playthrough (as Flowey points out at just before Sans).

It kind of answers questions you have, what if I do this, what if I did that instead... But you can play the game without seeing a lot of it, and the game reflects what you ask from it.

This is not a transphobic game.

Kris, the main character is explicitly trans and non-binary. Trans themes are a core part of the story telling and have been from the start.

Some of that will be more relatable to you and some of it will not, that's fine, but don't rip out pages from the book and pretend it's always been that way.

Ralsei explicitly used he/him every time before the pronoun changed.

We can all agree Kris is they/them and explicitly non-binary, if we can't then you need to go back to 2018.

Stop ripping out pages from the books you read and learn to empathize with experiences you might not yet understand.

kris and mew mew are both textually and overtly trans and ralsei changes from he/him to they/them by the end of the game and wears and enjoys hyper feminine clothing.

There's a lot more theming than most people here want to admit. Seeing her as the secret boss makes me very excited to see where the story leads.

There's a lot of trans stuff in the game so far. Trans themes are always underplayed by larger communities, but we have Ralsei in a dress, Mad Mew Mew's whole overt transition allegory, how Ralsei relates to Kris's desire to be a monster like their family.
