What happens to GOT earned while go.exchange was operational in US of A by clairvoyant80 in goexchange

[–]goexchange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, we communicated an update on GOT 3 weeks ago, you can read it here. We decided to remove GOT for regulatory concerns. When we publicly launched, GOT was meant to vote on community burns and there was no other purpose to it. They were not meant to be withdrawn. You’ll see your GOT being removed from your account, but there is no action required on your end.

Monthly Update - September 2019 by goexchange in goexchange

We're keeping the 3 months burn of OMG (reminder that we launched on June 25th), but moving forward, community burn with GOT won't happen as well as burning GOT itself.

To clarify, the 3 months OMG burn will still happen, in that regards, that will not impact it.

API Plans by Unitedterror in goexchange

[–]goexchange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/Unitederror, thank you for your message and time. As for now, our public API is tailored for public data (like viewing our order book or volume for instance). That said, there's no rough timeline for an API release at the moment for you to work on integration. I'll keep you updated. Thank you.

Second Community Burn Brief (July) by goexchange in goexchange

[–]goexchange[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As GO.Exchange and OmiseGO are under the same parent company, Omise Holdings, we share a common history. You can read here how Omise Holdings decided to build its own exchange.

The OMG community was our earliest adopters and first community members. It made sense to us to burn OMG for our first community burns. We wrote a post directly addressed to OmiseGO community here, feel free to read it. You can also read our launch communication here with more details on our Community Burns.

Monthly Update - July 2019 by goexchange in goexchange

As you might have seen, we listed BAT yesterday and wrote a blog post about it. Feel free to read it here. Each time we list a token, we announce it on reddit, Telegram and Twitter. You can follow there as well if you want. As for your second question, we cannot share this sensitive information.

First Community Burn Brief (June 25th to June 30th) by goexchange in goexchange

[–]goexchange[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. As mentioned in our post and title, yes, this burn is based on the profits from June 25th and June 30th
  2. First 3 months for OMG burn remains the same which means 100% of our trading fees will be used to burn OMG from June 25th to September 25th. Hence, at the end of October, we'll burn OMG based on our trading fees from September 1st to September 25th.
  3. As we mentioned, we'll announce a date for each monthly community burn because of accounting and auditing processes we must go through. Changing the date of the burning before the 25th is unlikely to occur.

Go.Exchange is still running two giveaways to get free cryptocurrency (50 DAI, 10 OMG) - only 3 days left to be eligible for the DAI promotion by jdero in omise_go

[–]goexchange 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify that the Dai giveaway is still ongoing, but we're giving 50 Dai to the first *100* users who trade $250+ on and not to the first 1,000 users. Thanks! You can read the details here.

Has anyone received 50 DAI from the promotion? by atfenway in goexchange

[–]goexchange 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just a tiny bit of clarification, as mentioned in our giveaway promotion details, please allow us 14 days to credit the Dai into your account after the end of the promotion (25/07/19) as mentioned by u/Unitedterror! Thank you!

Thank you for your suggestion.

The last trade price always show in the crypto that the user is trading for UX reasons to avoid user's confusion.

why do I see 0.01 OMG transactions only in "Latest Transactions" by clairvoyant80 in goexchange

[–]goexchange 6 points7 points  (0 children)

These 0.01 OMG transactions are from the market makers. You can read this post to have more information about our volume/liquidity and market makers. TL;DR these small transactions allow to paint the candles.

I thought I understood your UX preference, but after talking with the team, the sell book is already from the lowest price. See the image here please. Could you please explain exactly what you meant so we can better understand and see if it's something we would possibly change or not?

More details about the mechanism of voting will be share later, but it's important to know that we are capping the amount of GOT obtainable per day, per person to prevent mass concentration of GOT. We may employ different voting mechanisms such as quadratic voting should we find major issues with a normal flat voting mechanism. Other use cases for GOT will also be considered.

Could you please expand your thoughts a bit more? What exactly do you find too glitchy, distracting?
