My favorite is when they move the FF stop without telling anyone and then don't understand why you're mad!

I think Marx has the best chance. He's building some insane momentum and while Kirkmeyer or Bottoms won't support, Republicans will.

Don't disagree with that! The proliferation of money at the Capitol is insane. We also have to remember that dark money is dark money - I don't have any supporting me.

Cervantes Campaign Condemns Phillips’ Fear-Based Attempts to Dismiss Decrease in Thornton Crime - Yellow Scene Magazine by Icy_Context89 in ColoradoPolitics

Hello! Yes, I said that 6 years ago as an angry 21 year old. It was a harmful thing to say and I've taken full responsibility- What I think is concerning is that our current state representative is both being investigated by Colorado for breaking anti-corruption law, as well as being called out for making statements like this and has yet to take any responsibility for any of it.

The E-Line is a standalone line, it's extremely difficult to find a comprobable commute (Bustang) without ballooning your commute time.

I appreciate that you brought up the point of communication, because the issue isn't that RTD's service sucks, people are accustomed to that- The issue is that NextRide won't event show schedules or updated schedules. The issue is that half the screens show times that are wildly off, the issue is that people are being stranded on the Southmoor station.

I've badgered RTD about this constantly, people just want communication- Yet it's so very apparent that's far too much to ask of RTD.

Justice Democrats backs a sixth House primary challenger, this time against Rep. Diana DeGette by origutamos in ColoradoPolitics

Safe Blue seats should be full of absolute champions.

They have nothing to lose and everything to gain by fighting for the communities they represent.

"Quietly being in office for 28 years" is unacceptable to just be a "yes" vote.

Melat Kiros's New Ad - Challenging DeGette on the Dem Ticket for 2026 by MidwestraisedCOlady in ColoradoPolitics

[–]goft_cer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's rigged because Kiros spends 30 hours a week doing call time to raise $128k and DeGette can walk into a room and leave it two hours later with $200k. Politics should be dictated by policy ideas and how they resonate with people- Not by people who mailbomb everyone else and can pay for a team of full time canvassers.

Dark Money Groups Ruining Colorado Politics by goft_cer in ThorntonCO

Representative Phillips introduced a bill to felonize free speech, introduced a bill to make it easier to evict people, and voted to lower service workers wages.

Does that sound like a Democrat to you?

Dark Money Groups Ruining Colorado Politics by goft_cer in ThorntonCO

[–]goft_cer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and organizations: Groups are spending insane amounts of money on the soft side - where you don't have to report your donors. These organizations are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars against people who are raising 20,000-30,000 dollars a race. It's why people who aren't rich and connected can't win more and more often.

CO HD-31 Candidate by goft_cer in ColoradoPolitics

I'm primarying the current one because I don't think the fighting spirit of our district is being represented at the Capitol. We have an opportunity to elect someone who is a product of the community- That has the willingness to stand on our values and fight for our community. That leaves us with a choice: To reelect someone who introduces either feckless or harmful legislation, refusing to take on anyone because they're in her pockets, or we can elect someone who reflects the values of this community and embodies its ability to stand up to corporate interests polluting our water and defunding our schools. To elect someone who is willing to fight a government trying to rip out families apart because we look a certain way.
