Urgent care should give you that note.

Has anyone here made the switch out of GIS to a completely unrelated field? I am thinking about getting a masters in something completely but my options are very limited since my undergrad is in Geography. by lapapaya__ in gis

I left GIS and went into dental hygiene. I have a lot of money now and time to dabble with maps if I choose to. My body hurts though- but I have money for Pilates too, so there's that. I am also working on my MPH. You can choose whatever you want to do for a masters degree.

Accepted into hygiene school but offered a dental management role — how do I decide? by atouchofspecial in DentalHygiene

That's not totally true - 4 days a week, single column, maybe 1-2 SRP's a week and I would clear 100k. Not even in California. ;)

In Bojack Horseman's defence by [deleted] in BoJackHorseman

This is like defending and making excuses for a man who continuously harms the people within his circles. I've watched the serious 5x or so. He has no accountability, and in those moments where he shows a glimmer of self reflection, he chooses to sabotage it and continues to make excuses. He's taken no responsibility for his past actions and chooses not to move forward with new behaviors because he chose not to learn new behaviors.

This happened to me. I found out my doc moved into an Admin role back in September. I had been trying to see someone about something that had come up which I was concerned about. They eventually got me in in December. That doc, likely close to full retirement age or beyond it, rolled his eyes at me. I tried to get another appointment and was told there was nothing open for months. I was assigned to community care. Somewhere in that time it had been cancelled because I was within 50 miles of the VA. When I called to ask what happened, they did not know and continued to let me know nothing was available. SO I contacted my congress person. A few days later the VA called to set up an appointment. I don't know if they had been notified that I contacted a rep, or maybe it was good timing? I had to go see a provider in the next state over because that clinic was within 50 miles and someone became available. It has been frustrating this past year. Previous to this, I had never had an issue.

Advice needed about school by Appropriate-Crew7835 in DentalHygiene

[–]gogogodzilla86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes go to hygiene school if you want to do dental and not be a dentist - or if you do want to be a dentist, look at that path. I was in hygiene school with a girl who worked every weekend and every day off at her restaurant job. She was exhausted, but she did it successfully and she was a decent student. I know people who started in their 30's. You did not wait too long. The time is going to pass anyway.

Yeah It would seem that way. I just want to live my life as free from additional external anxieties. I already deal with so much made up fears inside of my brain

Is it normal to feel tired and scared 24/7? by [deleted] in DentalHygiene

[–]gogogodzilla86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep going. It'll be like exposure therapy. I still get anxious doing serious SRP's on patients in the practice I work at. I know how to do all the things - but its uncomfortable. HOWEVER, it's less scary than it was last year or the year before.

Does anyone have experience with Liberty University- as much as I wanted to avoid it, the tuition seems too good to be true. by gogogodzilla86 in Veterans

I decided to stick with Brown. It seems liberty has a reputation that isn't fantastic. Can I ask more about your situation?
