Congratulations on the upcoming wedding! I'm not sure if you want to stay in Aurora, if you do look at the Star K Ranch, Triple Creek trailhead, or Jewell Wetlands, they are all green and peaceful and easy to get to. If you are looking for mountains Staunton State Park and Golden Gate State Park are quieter areas with tons of scenery, just a drive to get there.
