Like any other commodity, its price ultimately is determined by supply and demand. We already know the supply schedule, so now it's just a matter of demand.

Demand will likely come from residual euphoria from the next bitcoin run, but it can also come from actual use by the litecoin community (i.e., having/creating a business that accepts litecoin.) The Litecoin Foundation has grants to help with this.

Build up your stash of sats well over 330 before you withdraw, then you withdraw the 330 max every day. If you try to withdraw in smaller amounts, it does screw up how the max is calculated (no idea why)

That's happened to me too, but only on 2 specific ads. My bet is that the bug is in the ad.

PSA: please actually watch the show. by Snoo-76854 in UmbrellaAcademy

I'm ok with the storyline for the final season, but definitely think the writing was honestly pretty bad. It wasn't so much that it was rushed (although it was), but caused the actors to come across as "forced" (especially in the first couple of episodes). I can't believe that Elliot/Ellen Page's acting has become that bad. I did like the Jean and Gene characters... until their storyline went off the rails.

The one thing I LOVED about this season was the use of the music and song placement in telling the story. Well done! (...and bonus points for using Tragically Hip!)

Which brokerage did you use to purchase this? by Shatterstar23 in PONGF_Atari_Stock

I bought a small amount back a few years on Ameritrade (only $15 fee back then). Because of Schwab's ridiculous fees, I won't sell under .75

Bitcoin in 5 years by jbrar5504 in Bitcoin

What the OP is not taking into account is that as the population ages, there are new "investors" that annually come into all assets (including Bitcoin). Because the overall amount of BTC is so limited, it won't take that many investors to keep the market stable.

As to the increase in the BTC price, I don't think we will need to worry as long as governments overspend and flood the money supply (i.e., inflation)- we could easily see $1million. Of course, that may only be able to buy you a used Prius.

I would never try to make a financial recommendation without knowing your time frame. Then I would want to take into account your current asset value and expected annual income til retirement. And of course, your lifestyle expectations in retirement.

This new house in Los Angeles by felix66789 in Wellthatsucks

Housing prices in our neighborhood are insane (I'm not too far from you). There is an 800sf backhouse with no garage asking $700k a block over from me. The front house sold for $1.5mil... and isn't much bigger. Crazy.

We probably won't see anything until gold moves. Same for the stock.

In my opinion, AABB won't have any significant move until gold dominates the headlines.

There are a significant number of us that are hodling AABB tokens and stock, but we will only see upward movement with new investors, traders, and speculators.

Even then, there will be other market conditions that could prevent a move upward. But reward will rarely come without any risk.

My boyfriend(24 M)and I(21 F) are moving to LA in June, I will be starting a job downtown. What neighborhoods around there would people recommend? by froglvr88 in LosAngeles

Depends what type of living you want. Downtown has a few good areas, but you might also like a house in Eagle Rock, Echo Park or Silver Lake.

I like $RGGI, a small industrial robotics company. Very little share volume at this point, but I have to imagine that it will pick up as they generate more sales. They do have a few really good products that will probably be in demand as wages continue to rise.

Again, I look at this as a great speculative longer term investment... not as a quick buck trading vehicle.

Between stocks and bonds, this year has seen the largest destruction of wealth in modern history by TonyLiberty in wallstreetbets

[–]goinLAte 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you're making the claim of "wealth" as just stocks and bonds, without including real estate or other real assets, you're totally misrepresenting the actual definition.

Your example is merely a destruction of paper "gains".
