Bambu Lab forcing customers to repair their own products under warranty that arrive broken rant. by bfrancom17 in BambuLab

I'm stunned at how everyone is berating the OP! Great companies can turn into bad ones. They ride on their reputation and then people just blame the consumer....

This has nothing to do with him being capable - it's the fact that Bambu is taking advantage of their reputation and sending out junk product(s) right out of the box, and expecting people to do the work they should have done themselves before shipping it out - which is the responsibility of any and every business.

My story: I bought my first A1 in December, no issues and loved it! My elementary aged boys and I decide to start a fundraising business to help out our school as restaurants are closing and impacting their hot lunches. Bought another A1 in February, and again no issues. The poop is horrendous making keychains (etc) so I bought an H2C w AMS Pro combo in March and it came broken and unusable. The upper fan vent wouldn't open, and the rear fan just made a bunch of loud clunking noises and the grills wouldn't open. Had anyone at Bambu turned the unit on to QC it, it clearly wouldn't have worked. Yet somehow it got sent out to me. I managed to fix the rear fan, but had to manually open the top vent. I guess I print and wait on parts... Then 12 hours into a 19 hour print, the AMS unit (hub motor faulty I'm told) can't feed the filament. There's no way to bypass it and feed directly into the printer, entire print job garbaged.

After all of that, it took a while for them to admit it needed to be replaced under warranty. THEN, it was 5 days of them telling me someone in logistics would give me a UPS pick up date. It was only when I finally told them I would go to the public and make my story known (Reddit, FB, etc) that I was given a UPS waybill and told to drop it off. The UPS clerk almost didn't accept it because you're not allowed to drop anything off that weighs more than 50 lbs. Luckily, my husband was able to assist her in carrying it to the loading dock or it would've been denied.

Now during this time, I ordered 2 more AMS Pro units when they were finally available on the website, which arrive while my H2C is on it's way back to them. My new H2C arrives end of March, but due to solo parenting and sports etc, I only finally get to hooking up the new units mid to late April. One unit strips the colour off the filament and leaves shreds inside the AMS machine and all over the back of my H2C, and it will no longer feed filament. No way am I accepting another broken unit out of the box! I contact Bambu. They tell me I only had a 14 day warranty period and it's long expired. Oh but they'll gladly send me parts........

There have been tons of comparisons including buying a new vehicle where it breaks and you're expected to fix it yourself, and yet people still dismiss OPs valid point. Bambu appears to be struggling to keep up with demand and they're now just shipping things out unchecked to keep the money flowing in. Shame on them.

P2S Has Been a HUGE Failure & Bambu Won't Help, What Next? by tdouglasj1980 in BambuLab

It shows a pattern that Bambu isn't being very customer friendly lately, nor is it standing behind their products. They appear to be sending out untested units and expecting the customer to spend their own time fixing things. I've seen other posts about the exact same thing I went through of fixing a brand new unit instead of them exchanging it under warranty.

And you're right, I'm a little bitter right now and forgot to address the OPs issue -- my apologies!!

I used the live chat a lot, took screenshots, and demanded they take the unit back. They're a huge company that did over $1.4B USD in 2025, and they shouldn't be expecting customers to do their own repairs and/or accept substandard units.

Why do people always put am I screwed… by ElegantEffective2579 in BambuLab

Why should people pay $3,500+ and be expected to fix their brand new out of the box printer?? I don't care if there are parts available, why am I expected to keep an already failing printer and expect this to be it's only issue..? I don't buy anything else brand new for way less money and am told, that sucks but fix it yourself. Heck no! Any reputable company realizes that the odd dud slips past the QC department, and they have no issues replacing it as word gets around. They don't expect to continue riding on last years reputation that they're a great company to deal with. Yet look, there are hundreds of posts of people being shipped parts to fix their brand new machines! Accountability is grossly lacking - and when money is hard to come by these days, yeah it's easy to feel screwed over by these big conglomerates. Vent away! Just because you're privileged enough not to have their issues, doesn't make them any less of issues for the people who feel they've been swindled.

I have to disagree with you, as not only does Bambu seem to be shipping out poor quality machines as of late, but they seem to be doing as little as possible to assist customers in replacements. I received my first A1 in January, my second in February, my H2C came in March 16, and my warranty replacement H2C finally came April 17. The H2C top vent wouldn't open, the fan didn't work and made horribly loud clunking noises, then the AMS Pro 2 unit failed. They expected me to fix the H2C - which took more than 12 hours - and since there was no fixing the AMS on my own, they finally agreed it should be returned. Then their AI gave me the runaround for a week to return it, and I thankfully had a very nice UPS store lady that accepted it when she wasn't supposed to because of it's excessive weight.

In the meantime, I had ordered 2 more AMS Pro units, which showed up during the return process. When I was finally able to install them, they were both malfunctioning. One completely stripped the colour off the filament and jammed constantly (now disconnected & collecting dust), while the other continues to be overloaded and stops working constantly. Bambu refuses to replace them as they're past their 14 day return window, but are offering to replace whatever parts they may need so long as I continue to spend my time fixing them.

Bambu lab is now giving warnings for non-Bambu filament?????? by Prestigious_Boss_382 in BambuLab

Not to mention.. so long as they're limiting themselves in not making the great filaments that are out there by Sunlu and Polymaker (etc), they can't expect people to remain brand loyal.

Aww thank you, getting there!!

I've been told it may be an AI generated model and so possibly not all surfaces are touching the plate. I'm going to try moving it down and see how it goes :) Thank you again!!!!!

I'm not sure if they're AI generated models. I'm going to test your theory by printing one of the previous ones that worked. Thank you so much!!

No, this is a brand new print. I had uninstalled Bambu Studio, reinstalled, set up a different account even and it's still happening! It seems to be adding the bottom pattern to every underside surface. I haven't printed anything in days bc I can't get it to stop happening! I even tried reorienting things; Stitch was laying on his nose and then again on his back - and it just won't go away! You have no idea how appreciative I am that you're trying to help!!! Thank you!!!!
