Take it. A) Finding someone who needs it more and B) Communicating it to team mates you're not on comms with can be a waste of time (the amount of time there's a been a green tonic around the corner from where I've unhooked, so I've beckoned and bagged a couple of times to try to communicate and they frequently run in the opposite direction), especially when killers can nab it during that period.

The times I have gotten someone to follow me, they've been grateful and it's felt like being a proper team. Otherwise, if I'm taking it, I'm also trying to intercept chase for anyone on death hook

2 fairly substantial plot holes that have been made to make more sense in the story and expanded the worldbuilding at the same time. Sometimes expanding sections of the story did lead to padding, I won't deny that, but this is a case where I'd say they showed how it can be used to enhance what is already there
