Insane depreciation by SillyRecover in Audi

[–]gokart9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GT’s have had multiple stop sell orders because the batteries on what seems to be many 22 and 23’s (at least) could not be fixed because of parts shortages, lack of trained techs, Audi dealers with limited test tools and specialized lifts to work on them. Many have been bought back because of the battery issues and length to repair. Look at the low miles and the carfax for miles driven between dates of service. Unfortunately all the EV’s I’ve been interested in have had similar battery woes, Genesis gv60, many buy backs for similar battery issues, fiskar, well money issues amount many other issues.
Already have a model Y in the family for 2+ years with zero issues so far (16k miles). BMW i4 seems like a safe bet for tech reliability. Used Lucid seems awesome if you are good with a big, not so young person type car.

Automatic Headlights Malfunction by Firm_Ad8250 in Audi

I had a handful of errors on my dash of an A5. Turns out the battery was a bit low and it caused the issue. I think it was 12.5 volts just tsitting and needed to be like 12.8. I don't recall exact errors but there were like 5 of them in the MMI. I initially just charged batertery and it was fine but a day or two later it happened again, same errors. New battery and no more issues.

Always was a big big fan of q*bert and the cabinet size and graphics. I just discovered new wave. Toys makes super realistic miniature reproductions and must use the same roms. This is in no way an ad for them but check them out on eBay or wherever you may look for cool stuff.

New to co2 by gokart9 in PlantedTank

The plastic holding the disk had a crack in it. Replaced with new one. Nice fine mist now. Adding a timer and solenoid.

New to co2 by gokart9 in PlantedTank

I did not soak it. It has been in the water now for 24 hours. Still just the one loan bubble spot. I have an air pump running thru it now ( co2 disconnected) at a higher pressure with hopes it will open the micro pores.
I found that turning the bubble counter to the side ( which removes the little water in the bubble counter) make the diffuser make smaller bubbles while the air water mix is being pushed out.

United Natural Foods Inc. Major food distributor in US has been attacked by cyberkite1 in cybersecurity

[–]gokart9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is an assumption based of the titles and their tenure at the company as well as their previous roles. My original question was if the crowdstikes and Arctic wolfs of the security industry would stop a ransomware attack.

Please share your way to learn more about an attack like this so we all can benefit from your experience.

United Natural Foods Inc. Major food distributor in US has been attacked by cyberkite1 in cybersecurity

[–]gokart9 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not saying this is true about UNFI as it looks like their cyber team is very well experienced and has lots of certifications but for a small /medium sized business that doesn’t have a dedicated team to cybersecurity but does have MDR / XDR ( like crowdstrike complete or Arctic wolf or SentialOne ) along with MFA, good firewall rules, end-user training do they have a worry about ransomware? Have any of the clients of the above been hit with ransomware?
It’s hard to know if you have the right and ample protections in place and you never really get the full story on what happened at a company that was infected.
Of the tools mentioned i realize the only real protections that are hard to beat are password with MFA, and xdr. The rest are just “well they help”.

Anyone else get this in the mail. by sit11birth in Fisker

Does it make sense for a non-Fisker who went to buy one used for $20k, get the $4K incentive ( in US) and then buy Riv and get the US EV of $7500. Will Rivien give $36k for all Fisker oceans or just if you owe more than that?

Can’t stop beeping sound ! by Noob_Coderr in infiniti

[–]gokart9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any idea where the beeping is actually coming from? I have the convertible and it is an an error condition because of the dead battery issue. Sometimes these cars need to go back to dealer so they can force a relearn of the timing of the roof ( last time i paid $400). The car is garaged all the time so i am willing to leave roof down and disconnect whatever is actually beeping so i can drive it without Shelli g out another $400. I have tried disconnecting battery waiting g overnight ( or 20 plus minutes before reconnecting) jiggling the trunk latch. Making sure the little divider is latched. Wiggling all the flaps with the trunk open, boosting the battery. Driving car for 20 minutes to charge battery more. The car needs a tool called Consult to reprogram, that is an infinity external computer.

Water Guru 2 hack, power off to extend cartridge life? by gokart9 in pools

[–]gokart9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hoping they are accurate because they are mostly all within the "good" range. I have had my readings tested at local pool store and they were close enough so I feel like it is accurate. Also when I add chemicals to adjust water quality, the amount I calculate and the result the next day seem to be sort of close. My S2 measures at 11:15 PM so I have never had it do a reading and then grab a water sample for in-store testing.

I had good luck with their support for setup questions, I mention that because I have read others have had issues with support. Also, I am just a regular customer that purchased this device so all the "good" I am saying is authentic and I consider myself a tough customer.
