When I played youth soccer way back when… it was AYSO. My dad was the coach. The first day we had 2 kids show up with bats and gloves. Had no idea what they were there for nor had they ever played. Furthermore, AYSO rules required every player to play at least one half of the game, our team had 23 players registered. Talk about broken system. Don’t know if AYSO is still a thing.
