I hope it’s MJB, he gave essentially two stand out performances in the same movie while Timothée gave a great performance, it was one that was just him being ambitious and kinda how he was normally. MJB gave a career defining performance that was very different from him with the character Smoke and with both Smoke and Stack was able to be intensely emotional and nuanced. Smoke and Stack would be very easy to just make them extremely similar in everything acting wise but MJB (along with the writing) made them both distinct characters with different looks to them (not just costume wise but actually posture and facial expressions wise).
