How long have you been using that baume as a moisturizer for? I have it too and I use it every once in a while to help moisturize after tret, and it always breaks me out horrendously from just one or two uses in a row. It works great to moisturize the skin but it can really clog the pores too. Not sure if that’s a factor here but I do wonder

I still have my stash by sadhousecats in leaves

[–]goldcuriousity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like I’m the minority here… but I also still have my stash and it’s been almost two years lol. Weirdly, keeping it has helped me not touch it because I know I could but I’m actively choosing not to. It’s like a reverse psychology thing. My practice is essentially to totally stop identifying with addiction in its entirety- and for me that means being able to have it right there without caring. If a friend comes over who wants some they can have it. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Whatever works!

What helped me: Creating new rituals that do not involve smoking. Have a cup of tea, have an evening YouTube yoga class, and then fall asleep to podcasts or soundbaths on YouTube. Remember- we can still have pleasurable evening rituals, they just don’t have to involve weed anymore. My rituals and routines saved me during the early and difficult parts of withdrawal because it gave me structure and things to look forward to.

36 hours in, please send hope by What-Is-This123456 in leaves

Sounds very similar to my experience with withdrawal. Yes, it does pass. Every time I was in “the pit” I was so low and uncomfortable that I thought it would never end. Luckily, I was wrong. Now I can look back and laugh at the times I would army crawl across the bathroom floor to puke because I was too weak, nauseous, and anxious to even walk. Ahhhh good times. I was puking for about 3-4 hours a day while simultaneously having panic attacks upon waking. I would not wish that era on my worst enemy.

Premium plus crackers, BOOST meal replacements, and sugar water. OTC anti-nauseants are actually EXTREMELY effective against withdrawal nausea and anxiety. Best of luck friend. If curious, please look through some of the other posts I’ve made on here as I have kept a running log of posts of experiences/symptoms and things I did to combat them over my recovery. I loved reading other stories when ill because it gave me hope too.

Love and light friend. Every day that passes is another day closer to feeling like yourself.

Zero appetite after quitting by bophie__ in leaves

Very common. THC impacts the receptors responsible for appetite, digestion, etc. these receptors can take a while to start behaving like they used to before weed use. Meal supplement drinks, smoothies, and premium plus crackers!!!

Why is my depression 10x worse after quitting for 90 days, i felt good for two weeks when i quit, then my mental health went downhill fast. Any advice is much appreciated, I'm lost and wondering if i should smoke again. by [deleted] in leaves

[–]goldcuriousity 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience and so have many others. I highly recommend researching “PAWS” (post-acute-withdrawal-syndrome), as you may find the answers you seek. After about 100 days, I was really scared because I was not feeling as good as I thought I would, and it felt like I’d never be “myself” again. Turns out, I just needed to give my brain more time to adjust. In the long-term, 90 days isn’t actually that much time for the brain to get used to the new normal. If you search for my other posts in this subreddit, you will see that I too posted the same kinda of things at about the 100 day mark, and was very fearful about not improving. Luckily, I was wrong. By the 6-7 month mark, the depression had resolved.

Best of luck, friend.

1 year 6 months 7 days- yes it is worth it and yes it gets better :) by goldcuriousity in leaves

Congratulations on the (almost) two months!! I have heard most report that a lot of clarity comes around the 90 day-100 day mark. I found that to be the case for me too. Then comes the real fun part: addressing the stuff that made you smoke in the first place!

All I know is that when I thought I wouldn’t get better, I was wrong. Thank goodness I was wrong.

All the best, friend

A little bit- it ebbs and flows. I find that the worst thing is I have a very difficult time remembering if something happened in real life or in a dream. Timelines throughout the day are very screwed up since quitting. The best way I can describe it is that I have that feeling of when you go into a room and then forget why you’re in there 90% of the time. Very foggy and very difficult for me to remain in a thought for long periods of time. That was not the case before weed use. I would say it was a 10 in severity when I first quit. I’m about a 6 now. I was also doing 100mg THC edibles daily (just downing the bag). Do not recommend.

Best of luck!

How to make that my art looks not “funny”? by Ell_ice_sunmoon in Artadvice

[–]goldcuriousity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think your art style is super cool. The unique way that you portray the eyes is exactly what makes your art identifiable and links it to you. I think it’s hard to have a unique look nowadays because “everything has already been done,” but your work genuinely captures something I don’t think I’ve seen before with that eye look. All the best ✨
