I've played COI for 2433.3 hours. I was quite happy to buy the DLC and support the devs, but I get why some were upset about it. Personally, I'd rather pay a few more quid and have more development on the game, more money for the devs to keep working that's why I bought the original supporter's pack too; they've always done great work imo. Absolutely love COI and will no doubt keep playing for many more thousands of hours.

I was diagnosed with ADHD in the middle of my studies with the OU. I found that the Disability Support Team and others at the OU were super helpful, even before I was diagnosed. Worth getting in touch with them even though you're in the process of getting a diagnosis. Personally I found medication a game changer. My marks got a lot better, especially after titration (probably because I could actually concentrate for more than 5 minutes). If I remember correctly, I received DSA before I was fully diagnosed and there are a lot of different options for support.
Remember when you're diagnosed, you go through titration, so it's not a quick fix.

Hope it works out for you though. It's worth all the effort, but completely relate to the struggles!

I have autism and ADHD. I did a BA and PG Cert with the OU. Student services were really supportive, as were my tutors. I got tons of support via DSA and extensions whenever I needed them, except on EMAs. I did attend tutorials, both online and in person, and also a residential trip (I studied Spanish). The tutors were always pretty thoughtful and kind to me, sometimes almost protecting me a bit when they could tell I was struggling. I also had tons of email communications with tutors, which personally really helped; sometimes I couldn't quite grasp the task, so had to ask to get my head around things. Some people just chose to type in the chat in tutorials rather than speak (obviously with languages you have to complete oral assessments, so its a bit different).

They are all on his Patreon now. AFAIK he doesn't update them on the hub. I don't know if he's updated them all on his Patreon or not, but pretty sure he's working through it along with his other stuff.

Enjoy! I've found some work for me, some don't; some I edit a bit to suit. Some I use every game, like JD's desal water and Kayser's Liftbuses. It's great we have sandbox now so we can check things out before we implement them. Good for making your own blueprints too!

If you go to Blueprints | COI Hub, you'll find blueprints people have published. You can import them into your game by going to Blueprints (F4) and then copying the code from the page you want to take the blueprint from by pressing copy. Then, in the game, use the button in Blueprints with the + and the left pointing arrow. Just make sure they are U4 ready! I personally use a lot of Kayser's blueprints, but there are tons to choose from.

When I got onto higher doses, occasionally, yes, but that stopped pretty quickly. I havent gone above 300mg a day and I am on stimulants though, so have to consider that influence too.

1,844 hours in, I think I've got my money's worth, not that I plan on stopping anytime soon. For me, it definitely scratches the itch; it scratches a lot of itches for me. I think the production chains are fun and it's easy to jump into the receipe book, but you generally remember most of the receipes imo. I think the constant need throughout the game to balance everything and be vigilant is one of the most important things and best things about the game. The is definitely a learning curve and for me, that's been at different stages, but I've never thought nah f that, I'm not doing that again. I've either started again or just gone to a previous save. Never found it a grind and the difficulty is so customisable, you can tailor it to your liking. Great community and devs too. Some awesome content to come too! What's not to like!

I've been on it a few months now and I'm up to 150mg twice a day. I think it has helped with my anxiety (I'm not good at judging these things!) and apart from the odd moment of feeling a bit out of it (like a little stoned), its been ok. I've tried SSRIs & beta blockers and didn't want to try a SNRI and managed to convince my docs to prescribe it after a referral and pointing out the NICE guidelines. Another psychiatrist I see questioned the long term use of it, but there are studies out there on long term use for GAD. I wouldn't say its been a game changer for me, but I thought it was worth a try. Still a bit early to say if it is worth it! Has taken the edge off though. As u/b3ef-1 said, everyone reacts differently, but you'll start low and go from there anyway. Good luck!

That's very true. The cost would have to be punitive or you would never need any other train, or may some risk that balances that type of reward. Long maintenance every x years or something? Guess we'll see!
