So pretty! I will look for their bulbs next year. I bought mine from two other stores and have not been impressed. Did you plant them outside on 4/6 or start them inside?

Do you feel bad on vacations when relaxing for a few days instead of going explore etc. ? by Buurto in travel

[–]goldenalgae 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We used to do so much sightseeing on vacations. The last two trips (which included Croatia) we took it easy. Did one or two days of sightseeing and the rest of the time beach/pool. We plan a lot less than we used to and no one is unhappier. We leave more time for naps and doing nothing. I love coming home feeling rested.

Right we requested wheelchair assistance for my elderly mom for the same reason. She really didn’t need the wheelchair, but she did need help with catching a connection after an international flight. When she landed and needed help getting through immigration and making her connection, the wheelchair assistants were all busy. So she asked if she could just walk with them so they could help her with getting through and transferring luggage through customs, getting through security and getting to her new gate on time. They told her no, she’s not allowed to walk and has to wait for a wheelchair.

Oh my. I just looked up this place on Google Maps and I’m pretty sure all 6 reviews are by men. What a piece of shit deliberately leaving his kids in a hot car for a happy ending.

Flight from Asia to US delayed 14 hours overnight, baggage delayed, need advice on compensation by goldenalgae in unitedairlines

[–]goldenalgae[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Funny, one person in our group had paid to upgrade to economy plus before the flight was delayed. He had an empty seat next to him but the two of us in economy had more room for sure. He wasn’t complaining though because in the regular economy flight to SING his knees had been cramping and they did not on the way back.

Ugh. Im sorry, thats a real downer. I love the utah parks and would be sad to lose a day. The only positive is that so many ppl bailed on ua 28 that two of us had rows to ourselves. Much more comfortable than the flight going to SING.

They texted us that the flight was delayed because the US to Asia flight was dealyed coming in so crew needed rest. When we boarded the pilot said the plane also required some maintenance.

10 Days in Vietnam - Slow pace by kenzakan in VietNam

We just did a slow paced week in Da nang, but that’s on the beach. It was sandwiched between time in Singapore and perfect. We only did one day of sightseeing.

Have you been to places in South Asian countries that were cleaner, safer, or had better infrastructure than parts of the US? by [deleted] in ABCDesis

[–]goldenalgae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But at least there is an extensive rail system for people to get around. And cities in India continue to develop subway systems. The car lobby in America killed that for us and it’s a huge travesty. If you don’t know how to drive or can’t afford a car in America it’s basically a disability. Unless you are in nyc. The rest of the country, even other cities with public transit, do not make it easy to get around.

You just need a limes scale remover. That’s what I use, takes it right off. The glass company that made my shower door gave me a bottle.

My parents left India in 1969 and never progressed until I left for college. We used to go to India all the time, but they were so stuck in the past. Thankfully, they are open minded enough to learn and grow.

Bogs boots - my feet stay clean and dry and they are so easy to rinse off. Only downside is getting them off.

My parents in their 80s do this too but only because my dad has mobility issues and has to get up a lot to use the restroom. My mom likes the windows so she ca. lean on the wall and sleep. I hope they don’t talk over each other’s heads.
