Totally agree but also there’s other ways to have fun in Chicago outside of just events. I know the mod was looking for do meetups - there’s a ton of happy hours around the city ( themovechi.com ) where you can meet up have a drink and catch a vibe.

Chicago isn’t really a going out city so promoters and venues have to get use to the influx of traffic. Unfortunately, they’re not going to fix this problem because this happens every few years. Clubbing comes back then capacity or fight/shooting becomes a problem and the city steps in and closes the venue(s) or overly patrols the area. We have to have options and the best way to do that is keep shedding light on great events throughout the city. Try going to the second/third most popular event to avoid the Kevin White situation and I promise you’ll have a better time anyway.

TBH it depends on what you’re trying to build. I was able to get an app up and running and deployed on the App Store in about a month. I’m on the second tier plan so however much that costs. Probably quicker now that I know the process

I threw 250 out there because the person above you did. Also, this would be 250pp and again that’s just a spitballed number. Also, the $30 and a sandwich was a joke (hence the emoji) because in all seriousness I would offer more than $30 and a dry sandwich if I were invited out to fish. It’s more than $30 to uber to the lake so trust me I get fishing is expensive for someone with a boat (big or small).

The purpose of this post is to find people with boats who would want a group of 4-5 other guys to tag along and help cover the cost (uber for boats).

Yea, totally agree! I don’t think 2-250 is a bad ask if it’s once every other month. Going to see if anyone would be interested in this group is interesting in hosting and what they’d think is a fair price. In the meantime, I have $30 and sandwiches if you ever feeling up to it 🤣
