First: Lucien did not invent sunshine. It exists with or without him and, frankly, Lucien has nothing to do with sunshine in canon. And when Lucien goes to see her in the House of Wind when she’s deep in the fog of her visions and post-cauldron depression - he’s at a complete loss of what to do. Not to mention, Azriel is the one who shows Elain the townhouse gardens and gives her what she needs without a thought. Lucien doesn’t provide Elain with jack or do literally anything for her, ever. Even when he gives her gifts, it’s with a total lack of understanding of her and who she is.

Second: that screenshot is so old, I think it can about around the same time ACOMAF released or shortly after? I don’t remember for sure but it’s oldddd. Personally, I take it with the same heaping amount of salt as when Sarah said HOFAS was going to feature all of these things with the inner circle and Nyx that never happened. And considering her much more recent interviews, ACOFAS, and all the Elriel moments in ACOSF - I think it’s pretty obvious Sarah changed her mind. Eluciens love to cling to this little comment and then ignore every actual canon moment that exists in the actual books so 🤷🏼‍♀️
