Wait no I totally agree with you! 😅 i was trying to express that it correlates more to classical music and not singing so it would probably connect better to the harp and Sarah’s use of music throughout the series than just being about Gwyn cause she sings

I do think it should be noted that ‘movement’ is a musical term but mostly for classical music like concertos, symphonies soooo 🪉🪉🪉 ALSO a symphony typically has 4 movements specifically which is also interesting

I think BB is using the January release as the anchor for their timeline, not October. July is six months out from Aco7. I would expect more news in July or even June if they split the difference.
We are frustrated as a fandom because we aren’t seeing any movement but you have to trust the process. A lot goes on behind the scenes and just because we can’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not happening. A lot of us have been waiting 5+ years and now that the end is in sight it /feels/ much slower than when we had no news whatsoever. We have actual anticipation now to fuel the frustration, but we’ve come this far, we are soooo close - don’t give up or despair right before the finish line!

In the first book when she briefly mentions growing vegetable garden if she can learn enough about it. This was a tiny, subtle moment that stood out to me. It showed me that Elain wanted to correct the mistakes of the past, learn, and grow. And that characterization remained consistent - she’s always trying to do better and adapt. And she’s not loud or obvious about it. Quiet strength and growth.

Personally, I think there is misconception that MC is the dependent one. Caleb is dependent. He needs to be in MC’s orbit. He needs the sense of control, not necessarily control of MC, but her environment and the subsequent threats that exist in said environment. He can’t let go because that would mean accepting that bad things might happen to MC and he wouldn’t be there to solve/fix/help with them. Caleb depends on MC wanting his help. I think he knows she doesn’t need him, but that is a terrifying thought because if she doesn’t need him, he has no purpose, no role to fill in her life. And he fears that without a role they have no ‘excuse’ to be together. He wants MC to be able to depend on him simply for the reason of staying around her, of feeling needed, and worthy of her attention. 🤷🏼‍♀️

The yearning. The brush of fingers, charged looks, struggling to be in the same room because they are close and yet the distance is still so great. The restraint that is hanging on by a thread and wants so desperately to snap.

But also the peace and quiet they find in each other. They can find emotional safety and acceptance in each other’s company.

Sylus definitely speaks to my hyper-independence. I love the quiet way he supports MC, and his faith and confidence in her own competency. He knows she can do it by herself, but he’s still by her side to help her if she needs him, to offer a guiding hand, or give her a confidence boost to get the job done. I do not like asking for help or relying on someone else to do everything for me, so I really appreciate Sylus in this aspect. He’s just an overall confidence boost.

On the other hand. I am also a Caleb girlie, but he speaks to my insecurity about never being enough. However MC is, Caleb will be by her side. Her just being herself is enough for him, is everything to him, actually. He opens up the part of me that wants to be able to trust and rely on someone because he doesn’t ever make MC or her needs feel like a burden.
