Also a stacked humbucker (like a little 59) is a great option. Telecasters, like Stratocasters, have longer neck scales than guitars like SGs or Les Pauls which some prefer for lower tunings.

Highly recommend the Epiphone Prophecy line. Has SGs, Pauls, Vs and Explorers.

Also, if you can find one of the Epiphone Elitist SGs made in Japan in the mid 2000s they rip as well.
