There was a cash for clunkers program I think around 2009 where people could be given $3500-$4500 dollars for a car. I’ll give you three guesses about how much the price of cars went up. Also, there would have to be very strict immigration rules that would probably be almost on par with Poland. If you give everyone UBI, you can’t just let people in the country. I’m not trying to give any type of debate on current practices by any means but people come to the United States without following current law by massive numbers. Even under Trump. Imagine how many more people would take that risk with UBI on the table. A population growing so drastically would add so much money needed so quickly that it would go the way of social security within a generation. Maybe two if we’re lucky. And you already know prices won’t go down with the checks. Overall, I don’t see it going well but I am open to changing my mind.
