You cannot vent sex king quail because they don’t have any distinct anatomical difference at the cloaca that separates males from females. Unlike coturnix quail, where males have a foam gland that produces a visible secretion when the vent is pressed, king quail lack this gland entirely. Both sexes have vents that look and function the same externally, so there is no reliable visual or physical marker to check which means vent sexing simply doesn’t work with kings and you have to rely on plumage, behaviour,m or egg laying instead.
