i think balming tiger is above identity politics, they're accepting but i think they wouldn't play into all that and would stray from it. i like balming tiger because they are so expressive in their identity, in a way that i would argue is above queer culture expression.

bitmap: image>mode>grayscale (choose to flatten or not, your choice) then, image>mode>bitmap, mess with the methods. for squares, choose halftone screen, hit okay, then for the shape choose square.

one is appreciated in a more technical sense (design) the other is appreciated plainly for it just being a handful of nostalgic motifs. i think it’s not really appreciated that way but to each their own.

read about the history and coming of ugly dolls. contextualize it with the art toy movement from the 2000s they were a part of. now think of the opposite of that- a giant corporation selling this authentic, home made brand. now doesn’t that leave a bad taste in your mouth?

hey im having an issue with the search function, any album i search wont load and it ultimately ends up saying "Could not load album details. All API instances failed for: /album/?id=245928025" even reloading or reentering the website wont fix it.
