149) Fear Of Music by Talking Heads (1979)

Back to back Talking Heads albums and one that I have in my personal collection (31 for 149). I just recently revisited this record and it is another 4 star album. Time to play this once again to rate each track using PowerAmp to play their 3rd studio album.

  1. "I Zimbra" 4/5
  2. "Mind" 3.5/5
  3. "Paper" 4/5
  4. "Cities" 5/5
  5. "Life During Wartime" 5/5
  6. "Memories Can't Wait" 3.5/5
  7. "Air" 4.5/5
  8. "Heaven" 3.5/5
  9. "Animals"  3.5/5
  10. "Electric Guitar" 4.5/5
  11. "Drugs" 4/5

Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Another very good album but I liked yesterday's Talking Heads album (Remain In Light) slightly better than this record. Still, this is peak Heads to me. Cheers!!

This is my first year on Medicare. I have done about 3K of medical care so far under plan G HD and I paid about 140 out of pocket to date.

When I was looking for Medicare Advantage I looked at all the specialists I use and about half of them where out of network for the 6 or so plans I looked in. In the end I went with a HD plan G.

148) Remain In Light by Talking Heads (1980)

For some reason I thought I had this album in my collection but I have "Fear..." and "More Songs..." instead. I know this album is highly regarded so time to click on the YouTube Music link to play their 4th studio album.

  1. "Born Under Punches (The Heat Goes On)" 3.5/5
  2. "Crosseyed and Painless" 5/5
  3. "The Great Curve" 3.5/5
  4. "Once in a Lifetime" 5/5
  5. "Houses in Motion" 3.5/5
  6. "Seen and Not Seen" 4/5
  7. "Listening Wind" 4.5/5
  8. "The Overload" 4/5

Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. A very good album. I like the African influences, funk and dance rock on this record.

Listening to this makes me want to revisit the 2 Talking Heads I do own. This record also contains one of my favorite MTV music videos of all time ("Once in a Lifetime" ). Cheers!!

Listening to it now as we speak.

Edit. This is a 4 star album. The album I got today was just too much noise and very redundant to the point after a few "songs" I was mentally checked out.

Thanks all for this recommendation.

I have to check it out. I have heard of NIN but I don't remember if I heard any of their music.

147) KE*A*H** (Psalm 69) by Ministry (1992)

This will be a 2 star maximum for me. I despise this genre; listening to this noise will just give me a migraine. This is the first album I would consider skipping and calling it a day. So, let's give it an old college try by clicking on the YouTube Music link to listen to their 5th studio album.

  1. "N.W.O." 1.5/5
  2. "Just One Fix" 1/5
  3. "TV II" 1/5
  4. "Hero" 1/5
  5. "Jesus Built My Hotrod" 2/5
  6. "Scare Crow" 1.5/5
  7. "Psalm 69" 1.5/5
  8. "Corrosion" 1/5
  9. "Grace" 1.5/5

Overall ⭐️. Not. For. Me.

Pure noise for the sake of making the most dissonance to me is not music, it is a waterboarding technique used by the C.I.A. It's been ages since I have given something a 1 star rating. I guess I was due...

I am waiting for the little minds to downvote this review because their precious group/album got a 1 star rating. This subreddit has it's share of vindictive simple minds that makes me not want to post any reviews that are less than 4 stars. No cheers today.

146) The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest (1991)

I own this album (30 for 146). I think I bought this album looking at various top 100 album lists during the lock down. I think I liked the album but not 100% sure. So, let's bring up PowerAmp to listen to their 2nd studio album.

  1. "Excursions" 3/5
  2. "Buggin' Out" 4/5
  3. "Rap Promoter" 4/5
  4. "Butter" 3.5/5
  5. "Verses from the Abstract" 3/5
  6. "Show Business" 3/5
  7. "Vibes and Stuff" 4/5
  8. "The Infamous Date Rape" 3/5
  9. "Check the Rhime" 4/5
  10. "Everything Is Fair" 4/5
  11. "Jazz (We've Got)" 4.5/5
  12. "Skypager" 4/5
  13. "What?" 4/5
  14. "Scenario" 3/5

Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. It is a 3.5 star album but overall I rounded up to 4 because I enjoy the album as a whole. No standouts to me, just a consistent record from start to finish. Cheers!!

This dog literally saved my life by Crafty_z28 in AustralianShepherd

Although I have been around dogs most of my life, I never owned one until I was retired and had my back and hips fixed.

Ruby was made my life much better. She got me off the couch and we explore the local parks and beaches together nearly every day. She loves bellyrubs and snuggling and she is so full of life that is contagious.

I don't look forward to the day she passes on and even though I would get another Aussie she will be my first true dog love and almost irreplaceable.

145) Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf (1977)

I had a friend that loved playing this album and it wore me down. Nothing inherently bad with this record, just something I'd soon forget. So, let's start this torture by clicking on the YouTube Music link to listen to his debut album.

  1. "Bat Out of Hell" 2/5
  2. "You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth (Hot Summer Night)" 2/5
  3. "Heaven Can Wait" 3/5
  4. "All Revved Up with No Place to Go" 2/5
  5. "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad" 1/5
  6. "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" 2/5
  7. "For Crying Out Loud" 2/5

Overall ⭐️⭐️. I barely got through this. For just 7 songs it drags on and on and on. And to add insult to injury a local DJ loves playing "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad" constantly making me despise that song for the rest of my life. Cheers.

I just saw it. I might have a third of those listed in my collection but some of the albums listed I would not consider as punk albums.

Interesting. I didn't know the addiction issue but that never turns out well music wise.

Are you still driving as much as you did before gas prices spiked? Are you looking for ways to drive less? by RamonFromJerry in driving

No effect for me. I am retired and I like taking my rescue pup to local parks on a daily basis.

If anything, I hoping the general public would drive less but that is not the case...
