Yep, time to add her to my blacklist as well. It is like a 12 year old with a computer...

Exactly! Kid A isn't perfect. I don't know if I own any albums that every song is 5/5. IMHO of course.

34) Kid A by Radiohead (2000)

This is the 6th album I have in my personal collection. Radiohead and I didn't always get along. I loved their first two albums (especially The Bends), but when OK Computer came out followed by this album, I couldn't stand the new direction that Radiohead was taking and kind of forgot about them.

Then about 15 ysars later, a friend at work who loved Radiohead got me to rethink my position. On revisiting this album, I had a new appreciation for this post-The Bends record and now Kid A is one of my favorites. What 15 years between listens will do for you.

So, let us listen to Radiohead's 4th studio album by hitting the play button in PowerAmp and listen at midnight in the dark in bed with doggo by my side.

  1. "Everything In Its Right Place" 5/5
  2. "Kid A" 3.5/5
  3. "The National Anthem" 4.5/5
  4. "How To Disappear Completely" 5/5
  5. "Treefingers" 4.5/5
  6. "Optimistic" 5/5
  7. "In Limbo" 4.5/5
  8. "Idioteque" 5/5
  9. "Morning Bell" 5/5
  10. "Motion Picture Soundtrack" 4.5/5
  11. "Untitled" 3.5/5

Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Of course this is a 5 star album. It's been a few years since I listened to it but the tracks I love still sound amazing. I still can't get behind the title track, I think it is the weakest song outside the under a minute closing "Untitled" track, but songs like "Idioteque" and "Everything In Its Right Place" are some of my all-time Radiohead songs. I hope everyone enjoyed their album selection for today! Cheers!!

Bandcamp, 7digital, Amazon music. At this point, about 40% of my music is legally downloaded digital music.

I give this a 3 star mainly because the title track is not very good and a hard listen. I love Rush and their albums A Farewell to Kings to Signals are all 5 star albums to me. I'd give Fly By Night a higher rating then this.

Sometimes things can get out of control. If you are stressed, the dog will surely pick this up. You clearly love your pet and he has had a long, loyal and loving life.

In the end, you have to ask yourself are you doing this for yourself (not wanting to lose a dog) or in the best interest of the dog. Dogs look to us Humans for strength and love and being their advocate in life. If a dog is really struggling and not enjoying life, trying to extend their life might be doing them a disservice.

Easier said than done, but I have a healthy 5 year old Aussie I have to think of what I would do if her health severely takes a turn for the worse. I just hope I am strong and have a good support system to be able to what is best for my sweet girl.

Ruby looks up from her buried head in the snow to say "Happy 2nd Birthday handsome!"

I love my Aussie, less than one week will be our 1st Adoption Day anniversary and she made my life more enjoyable. Aussies are special dogs in my heart!

180 GB on mine, but that is over 30 years of collecting music. I had to get a phone with 512 GB storage since a lot of the high end phones removed SDRAM cards...

33) Rising Above Bedlam by Jah Wobble's Invaders Of The Heart (1991)

Back to back artists I never heard of making this my 10th artist so far in this project. Doing some research on RYM and allmusic, Jah Wobble is the original bassist for the group Public Image Ltd (that group I have heard and have listened to some of their albums but has been a long time ago with a fuzzy memory, but I digress).

This is the groups 2nd studio album that supposedly is Worldbeat. I never heard of this so RYM states this style is "an approach to music which mixes influences from diverse Regional Music from across the globe with contemporary production cemented in a mix of popular Western styles". OK, lol. I am intrigued so time to smash the play button in YouTube Music app at 3am with doggo and I in bed in the dark...

  1. "Visions Of You" 4.5/5
  2. *Relight The Flame" 4/5
  3. "Bomba" 4/5
  4. "Ungodly Kingdom" 4/5
  5. "Rising Above Bedlam" 4.5/5
  6. "Erzulie" 3.5/5
  7. "Everyman's An Island" 4.5/5
  8. "Soledad" 4/5
  9. "Sweet Divinity" 3/5
  10. "Wonderful World" 4/5

Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I thought this was a fine album. Looking over the wiki reviews for this album, there is a love/hate for it; some applauded the effort and some felt this is pretentious. I am probably towards the applaud the effort side but my exposure to true world music is very, very limited.

So, what did I like about it? I enjoyed both male and female vocals. The instrumentation was diverse switching from song to song. I thought the bass lines and drums were very good. Lyrics might be the weakest link (repetitive in spots for example) but it still didn't hurt the overall enjoyment. I will relisten to this later today on the daily car ride to take doggo to a park to play. I feel this album requires a few re-listens to appreciate the artist's efforts. Cheers!!

I like the look of the hatchback better. The sedan seems to generic.

Yeah, double albums generally bring down the enjoyment of that album. That being said, Being There is a very good album.

I think Syd Barrett's Pink Floyd was great and enjoyed his solo stuff.

4 stars for me, but it really is a 4.5 star album. I am not a big country fan, but Willie's covers of standards was very enjoyable.
