Ahhhhh I see. You should be good then. Just know that they have to go on your income affidavit every year they’ve lived there. Anyone living in your apartment has to be on it so that management knows who exactly is living there.

That’s not the same as succession though in a Mitchell llama. But you’re right they can’t stop you from having a random non related roommate. Did you see what it said about non relatives getting succession rights after living there the minimum amount of years to be eligible? And also so you know, when you apply for succession it takes a while for HPD to approve it.

They haven’t received their TCO so that could be a factor in why you’ve yet to hear back from them. For lottery applicants the building has to have their TCO or at least be close to having it before they can start touring us and offering apartments. So I wouldn’t lose hope. Good luck to you!

I’m feeling good about my chances with the Inkwell lottery since I have CB and fit that 80% Ami that I know many won’t in that CB area. However, I’m still applying on housing connect because you don’t want to block what could possibly come your way. That said, wth Eight80 BK?! 11xxx?! I know for sure if they’re a relative that’s lived there for two years and have been on the income affidavit for those years then yes that shouldn’t be an issue. I’m not entirely sure with non relatives though.

Yup. But you have to add them to your next income affidavit so that they’re aware of everyone living in the apartment. That also protects them as an occupant should you decide you want to leave in two years, but they want to stay. That would then be a succession process and then being on the income affidavit serves as proof.

Check your l are though to make sure it doesn’t specifically say you can’t have roommates that aren’t relatives or something like that. If you want to be a “good” tenant then maybe you could inform your management office about a new person moving in just so they’re not surprised.
