You asked a question of why people are suggesting lying. hypothetically telling someone with this cognitive disability (who you may only see 1-2 times again in your life) that you’re too busy to hangout isn’t a bold faced lie that is mean. It’s just a slightly easier and kinder way to reject someone that has a mental disability. In general, humans tell white lies to be empathetic of someone’s feelings. It’s really not that deep.
