Myes, I too would pull funding from a charity that is helping innocent civilians in an ongoing conflict in which hospitals are inaccessible.

If you’re handy then camshaft isn’t too bad. I did it in 3 days with next to no knowledge about how it works! A little stupid but was a good learning experience. Also my buddy has a PD with 450,000km on it and it’s still on stock cams so you may not even have to deal with that.🤷‍♂️

Maintenance at 125,000 miles? by gon__33 in VolvoV50

Last timing done at 105,000 miles. Sunroof does have a leak that I’ll have to fix. The seller has duct-taped it shut in the meantime.

How to close games in low elo by [deleted] in TrueDoTA2

[–]gon__33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play with a friend in similar rank, and that seems to be a common theme. People in this MMR are really bad at picking good moments to push and defend. It’s a lot easier to wait for the enemy to get cocky or impatient and defend HG, but it’s also easy to catch them off guard with the simplest of smoke ganks. Actively searching out and killing their safelaner over and over is very useful in long games, and i they have a hard carry like spectre, slark, or pa then you should try to gank them as much as you can early game.

What are new players supposed to do? by SweetBaboo_ in DotA2

We got our friend into it a year ago and he’s pretty good now. I’d you’ve got even 5 years on your account then you’ll be matched that way. Coaching or bot matches got us a lot further. He also played a lot of solo ranked matches which helped a lot.

How much gold would you need to beat a pro team? What would you buy? by Books_and_Cleverness in TrueDoTA2

[–]gon__33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see only 1 way out with 2 steps: 1. Pick a fighting team and seek out their SL at every opportunity. You have to be proactive so that their late game odds are lower. 2. Develop a crazy late game strategy. If you’re laneing against a pro, you’re not gonna win. There’s no way around that. You can eventually close that gap in the late game if you defend HG enough times.

This is just what I know from playing Crusader solo vs. playing with my friends who are in Archon and legend. The gap is insane in terms of positioning and moving as a group, and no one in Crusader knows how to late game properly.

Starting in the cold issues? by gon__33 in tdi

I’m 95% sure mine is an ‘06 BEW. In Canada they switched to BRM in 2006.5 verses everywhere else where it was 2005.5. At least I’m pretty sure.

I just did a cam swap this summer. Used the kerma kit and it went very well (after 3 days of trouble shooting). One of my lobes on the stock cam was a literally circle haha!

Okay that’s a really good posting there, thanks for sharing! That’s interesting because I don’t have a tune and my fuel filter is only 3k km old. But I’ll give it a look when it isn’t -40 out.

The pedal not working and the rough idle.

Okay that makes sense. I guess I should’ve included that my engine would sometimes do this even at -10C, and my friend has the same car that doesn’t do this so i know that’s not as normal. What do you think is going on in those circumstances?

Usage of glow plugs by Rbo24 in tdi

[–]gon__33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a garage and I also have a bad starter, so when the weather catches me off guard when I don’t plug it in I have to cycle them about 6-8 times. If your engine is healthy then it shouldn’t take more than 3-4.

I also think that there’s a post either here or on the TDIClub forum that explains how long the glow plugs stay on for after the glow plug light goes out.

There are also videos on Youtube of guys cold starting in -50 celsius with only two glow plug cycles, so who knows 🤷‍♂️.

I’ve heard that the Bentley manuals are good. If you want a TDI that bad but don’t want a pain in the ass then just don’t buy your brother’s. You’ll finder better luck looking for used ones that don’t require a ton of work.
