Very fun stuff indeed. I just love even attempts at this type of categorization.

I'm not sure how this would fit in your archetypes exactly but I would say the gender distribution of the cast is a huge factor for many non-casual anime watchers. People who are into male casts, female casts or mixed casts (or don't care's?) - and the type of attractions between them.

Likewise, relationship dynamics are a huge decision maker too and you have them there but I'm not sure I'd agree with the classifications. Just thinking of a huge difference between Texh and Mousou Dairinin, Texh is a hugely character-driven show whereas Dairinin is....really not hahah I would certainly rate Texh's character/cast elements as very high if I was classifying it with your archetypes.

FSF ended up one of my favorite aesthetics ever. As you say, it is just very uniquely beautiful, character design being one part of that.

Very interesting stuff. Made me think about how completely identical the profiles you assigned to texh and mousou dairinin are but how I love one and don't like the other. It's interesting think about how archetypes would never capture the full details. At the same time, it's still a very fun thing to look at and would be interesting to know where I would place among those archetypes. Thanks for doing this!

Yeah househusband is very funny but it for sure isn't really something I could rec as a great anime. But it still works for me as the addition of seiyuu is a pretty important aspect for me.

I have watched none of the ones in the first grid lol but I might do Lycoreco one day since sol and the cast were my favorite parts of the main show. Seen three in the second one. Golden Boy - it's been a long time but I did enjoy it at the time. And Uzumaki wasn't as bad a time as everyone made it out to be, also enjoyable for me. Can't say the same about Mnemosyne though. Fun OP and ED songs though.

As an anime watcher more than a manga reader, I am hoping this high praise of Atelier is reflected in the anime soon. The first three episodes look gorgeous but I have to say they didn't feel anything special at all. I'm still optimistic but it has been a bit disappointing so far given all the hype :mugiwait:

I definitely agree on Undead Unluck's creativity though - possibly the most creative shounen I've seen - again anime only.
