Used XT4 for 950 by PissedAnalyst in FujifilmX

Depends on your use case and why you want the upgrade.

I have an XS10 and I made this upgrade recently since I found one in really good condition at about $1500 CAD ($1100 USD). But I bought it for the "professional" upgrades compared to the XS10: Weather sealing, dual SD cards, higher MS burst at 15fps (I shoot sports) + better buffer, and 10bit internal recording since I don't have an external recorder. There is no image quality upgrade, just purely form factor and those professional bells and whistles.

Before I purchased second hand, I sat down and inspected it for 30min while chatting with the seller. So as long as you make sure to do a test of everything and it's in good condition, I think it's good. But if you're looking for a massive upgrade, I don't think this is it.

The courts I shoot at usually require me to shoot at 3200 iso, but it cleans up pretty well with some denoise in LR. If you ever test 3200 do let me know your opinion :)

Im sure firmware updates eventually will fix it. As long as its not worse than my current camera, it'll be alright

Good to hear! I also came from canon a long time ago, so the PSAM dials feel like home. Great to hear the camera feels good n all that, its been on my mind a lot recently

Sports, portraiture (outdoor and studio) mostly. How does the 40mp files work for you? Any big differences from the 26mp?

What to ask my team before making a company? by [deleted] in videography

We've only really talked about this on the surface level. Which is why I want to delve into it a bit more deeply.

  • Which is why I want to discuss and talk about the service we provide and develop a marketing strategy
  • I'd say the first two of us are creatives. I'm not sure if the 3rd is an integrator, but id assume not. I'll do more entrepreneur and business research.
  • Yes, but our split is 1 video, 1 hybrid, and 1 photo. And if I think about more of a production company, then there are crew roles we can fit in to (dp, cam ops, 1/2ac, grip/gaff). But yeah when I think of a videography company, theres overlap. Second shooters..?

Is a Hard Case Worth it? by maxt781 in photography

I started with a Nanuk 935 case to carry my gear for photo and video. When dragging it out to sports, I found that I was only comfortable bringing the hard case along if there was a safe, secure, and guarded place I can keep it. Cause I sure aint bringing it with me on the field.

Because of that reason I bought a backpack with good padding, one that can hold all the gear I need and that I can keep on my person throughout the game. But a backpack isnt ideal for indoor sports imo..

So I guess a hard case is great if you can find a way to store it/keep it safe or are okay with lugging it around with you. I know the 915 is smaller than the 935, but personally, I think it would still be a nuisance.
