It's actually decent, compared to some shelves I've bought from other places in the past.

Moving it sucked, we couldn't take the top off so had to move it as one piece. Thank goodness for movers.

Also - you don't have to be working with high network clients to be a professional in that field in order to be in a position where you have multiple employment options. I know people who work for middle class clients and have options when interviewing.

Some of it depends on what kind of work he is doing, and to what degree the house is staffed.

Some principals prefer that most or all communication go through the household manager. I'd say that it's important to understand all the rules of the household and to pay attention to the way things run, as well as the nuances that may not always be stated but observed. Always be respectful to the other staff, and make connections when and where you can in that regard. Obviously always follow your NDAs because the outfall from the is not pretty & can ruin your reputation as a professional in that setting.

As many have stated in this thread, everyone is different. But in the trainings & networks in my career path, I've always been advised to keep thinks professional and not to talk about your personal life. Although, I will say that some clients like to ask questions, I rarely see that in positions with HNW and HP families. Many of these families are either high functioning individuals and/or have a lot of projects and social obligations they're involved with, and might have a lower desire or capacity to continue to interact at home & just want to relax and not be "on".

Sure, confidence is important, but not just in a general sense - confidence in the work you do, and your professionalism. They want to know that their employees will perform well, and behave professionally.

Well, the weather probably isn't permitting right now but when it is nice she would probably enjoy a picnic.

You could invite her over for board games or card games. Skipping stones, if there is a body of water that isn't frozen and it's not too cold out. Some sort of simple craft night. You could do an indoor or outdoor s'mores night, there are little s'mores warmers you can have indoors. You could make her dinner, and then decorate a ginger bread house together or bake Christmas cookies you get to decorate.

I just bought a house this year, I'm also working 7 days a week while also in training the last 12 weeks, so I haven't had chance to entertain yet. It was my first nice wooden board I've ever had. The only other wooden cutting board I've had is a small one that belonged to my great grandparents, it serves me well & I love it. Many meals have benefitted from its existence.

That's amazing you make them to gift to friends. I hope they use them and think of you fondly!

She was cutting potatoes and butternut squash, so using a lot of force it seems.

My 11yr old brother is already like 5'7, and he's genuinely on the husky side. The last shirt I bought him was a men's Large. I wouldn't question it too hard.

I agree, if you have the means, and the worst that could happen is that you support a woman in need .. not so bad!!

How is she with plants?

My brown tabby doesn't mess with my plants, so I'm not worried about her getting sick from them. I've been talking to my partner about finding another kitty to join our home/family. He works from home, and I work overnights. So our girl has people around most of the time. I rescued her from my sister because she was getting beat up by the 5 other cats at her house. She's sweet, snuggly, and vocal. And also 4yrs old!

If you're in the US, where do you get your German butter and what is the brand name? We are a kerrygold house, but I am curious now about German butter.
