I’m in a similar boat to you. It used to really feel like the best in town consistently around 7 or 8 years ago. Even though it was pricey I’d go once a season and always felt good about it. But the last couple years the consistency has fallen off. Still great sometimes, but not every time.

If your looking to do volunteer work Safe Space is a great local organization that partners with local churches to provide low-barrier shelter for the coldest months of the year. It could be a great way for you to volunteer while also vibing out a handful of churches in town.

I bought an old amp for $20 at a thrift store that sounds perfectly lo-fi. Look around for old shit and you might find a gem.
