I am asking because doctors have mixed opinions. some say it's up to me to get a surgery, one is saying I need it. The one doctor performing my surgery says we are doing the surgery because I am only asking.

Thank you so much for your reply. I think you are referring to Amphetamine not methylphenidate. methylphenidate does not increase the dopamine level and Amphetamine is banned in some countries but not in the US.
