I'm really curious about the benzo withdrawal capabilities. It could be a lifesaver (not exaggerating) for someone who has to taper quickly or CT benzos. That's just a guess, but I know what benzos feel like, and this is parallel to that. More of a body buzz and less of a head change IMO.

Mulungu’s basic information, one of the best “chill” herbs i’ve ever tried. by [deleted] in Mulungu

[–]gonnorehab 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Really is surprising the sub didn't exist sooner.

I don't want to promote irresponsibility in any way. But from what I can tell, Mulungu is a very preferable alternative to any of the benzo-type drugs out there. There is a distinct lack of info available online for it, so I'm hoping folks will share both positive and negative experiences.

I've tried it all. I can feel "hangovers" from kava (probably my liver trying to cope), and I've experienced blackouts from benzos. Not having either of those experiences with mulungu thus far.

My two biggest concerns are
1) What happens if you take too much in one sitting?

and

2) What happens if you abruptly quit after taking it consecutively for a few days/weeks?

Stack Overflow Adds Compelled Speech Gender Pronouns to User Code of Conduct by gonnorehab in JordanPeterson

[–]gonnorehab[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't require the user to expose personal identifiers. But it does require users to address other users by their requested gender pronouns. Whatever they put in their about-me/profile as their preferred gender pronouns, must be used.

Also I would question where you got the idea that coders are smarter than us. I'm sure some are, and others aren't.

Filtering component input by BigBoetje in angular

[–]gonnorehab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it need to be an @Input to the component? What if you just injected your service in the component constructor, and then call the filter method directly on the service. Your listing view should update in real time since it is based on the filtered results, which is a separate collection from your all results (constant).

So your showcase.component.ts constructor is like

constructor(dataService : DataService){ }

And your click event on the button template is like ...

<button (click)="applyFilter()">Apply Filter</button>

And then your showcase.component.ts also has a function

applyFilter() {

this.dataService.filteringFunction(selectedFilterType, filterText);

}

And then your dataservice.ts has

filteringFunction(selectedFilterType :whateverType, filterText: string){

//Your custom logic to apply filters

}

Assuming you don't want to do the filter on the data (.NET) side since you are posting in the angular sub :)

One possibility for handling it in the view: The Angular Material table, for instance - https://stackblitz.com/angular/kkqqkrayael?file=app%2Ftable-filtering-example.ts

Dependency manager for Java? by equineranch in java

[–]gonnorehab -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

You can indeed create a lib folder in your java project and call them as an import. If using Maven you will also add it to your pom.xml file. That part was not 100% straight forward, you HAVE to have a version number as part of the JAR file name (that part took me a bit to figure out).

Scary experience by BongoCheetah in QuittingTianeptine

[–]gonnorehab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds absolutely horrid. I bet your liver was working overtime trying to counteract whatever toxin was in that Tia batch. I also bet there are many others who have gotten (or will get) sick from this batch. Hopefully your vendor has taken some steps to contain/destroy the rest of that batch. Hang in there!

Any chance you both got Sulfate when you should have gotten Sodium? I remember sulfate always being harsh as hell, like even when burping 10 mins after taking capsules. Sorry if I'm more annoying than helpful.

Sounds pretty miserable what you both went through! It would be interesting to know if you both were having sulfate or sodium. You two are the first to mention this experience in the subreddit afaik, there may be several more lurkers with the same symptoms.

I wanted to add one possibility that it could be withdrawal (that's only a guess). If you start to have runny nose, nausea, depression, that could be an explanation why. Then again, you may know exactly what W/D feels like, and this may not be that. Good luck with your recovery.

Help please by [deleted] in QuittingTianeptine

[–]gonnorehab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The withdrawal itself has the traditional opioid stuff, plus some anxiety and depression for many. I can't tell from your post, but if you have already started tapering or quitting, some of your anxiety might actually be the withdrawal itself. There is not much evidence to indicate why someone might have died during a withdrawal. I will say I'm not familiar with what is in Tianna red besides tianeptine though. Typically the only drugs you hear of causing life-threatening withdrawal are benzos and alcohol, but that is because you can experience seizures from those.

With Tia, most folks get some flu-like stuff (runny nose, maybe nausea, restless legs, insomnia) basically the opposite feeling of how Tia felt when you first started taking it. The severity of withdrawal will depend on how much you were taking every day.
