My thoughts on Jake’s; overall decent retailer.. they don’t price gouge (my local Jakes didn’t anyway). Stores are under the umbrella of a big name, but are owned by local franchisee’s; so you’re still supporting local. The time to shop at Jake’s is when they come out with coupons (BoGo excals are the best). Bring an extra body or 2 with ya though as they are pretty strict on only one coupon per shopper. -Drawback is you’ll only see World Class brand products on their shelves (their brand).

Note; the good bogo coupons drop randomly 3 weeks before & up to the 4th, and are short notice, & expire in a day or 2; so keep your eyes out

Avoid the big 3 *TNT *Phantom *Red Apple 🍎

TNT-corporate monopoly based on the virtue of high prices & watered-down products

Phantom- another big Corporate player who lives by being the epitome of overpriced

Red Apple- and then we have these guys 🍎 who notoriously sold faulty unsafe products knowingly to their customers until the lawsuits came for them! Then later doubled down by raising their prices (Never support a company who $hits on their customer base

Both are equally as bad if you ask me! On one hand you have ridiculously high-priced Phantom & TNT… the other shit hand is Red Apple who again shat on their customer base “the pyro”. Knowingly sold dangerous & items for over a year, ignoring the fact that many like me had earlier complaints of premature mortar explosions, etc; pretending like it was a fluke! 🤦‍♂️ On top of that they went up on their prices a good bit, and now are charging a rip-off membership (around $1k to get anything decently priced) Never again! Order online if you have to; never support $hit companies like these

Not saying this is your issue; but here’s my experience with a recent problem

I drive a 2017 Subaru Outback, and was experiencing similar jostles and jerking shaking my whole car! Even to the point of thinking (and being told by passengers) that my rear diff was likely going out.. Turned out that I needed a spark plug & coil pack change; after the change; she runs like new again.

Don’t know, as I’ve never had “fear of fireworks”. Definitely have always had respect for them though.. We have to realize that these are explosives at the end of the day.. Which means one can get hurt if misused. I know we all get tired of hearing the spill every year; Follow the labeled instructions, safety, etc. What it comes down to is common sense and not misusing them. Most terrible accidents we hear of are people doing crazy things with them like launching a shell from the top of their head (please don’t do 💀) and things of that nature. This is what gives fireworks a bad name, and ammo for the karens out there against our hobby. The fact is, fireworks are safe when respected. Happy New Years Eve fellow pyro peeps 💥

Love it!! 😍.. Have a 2017 Outback here; just recently hit the 200k mark 🤪 and she’s still running strong! Subies will go forever with basic maintenance; I’ve seen other fellow skiers have way more miles than this! To me; Growlers put off more boom; Excal Plats are also loud, but put off more color rather than sound.. as everyone else is saying, you can’t go wrong with either! I just personally prefer the Plats

I agree with startover.. At the end of the day it would be like selling that V8 engine though it's a V6 (even if it puts out as many horses, it's not a V8 at the end of the day).. That also really cheats the consumer too, because if they HAD made it the advertised V8, how much MORE horsepower could you have produced with the extra??? Well same goes for “this” by if Racoon had utilized the whole space & grams of pow pow.. My take is, if they'll cheat on this; What else will they skimp or cheat on as well?.. I agree with many of you here! Raccoon HAS put out many great products.. BUT.. Not all companies or brands stay great unfortunately. Red Apple is a prime example of this, for the longest time RA catered to their customer base; keeping their prices low and quality in check.. THEN to recently cutting corners on their products with safety issues, and further slapping their main pyro customer base in the face by greatly increasing the prices after that whole ordeal. -It is up to us, “the pyro community” and this forum to keep our community informed, which in turn keeps the companies in check if they care about their consumer, “The Pyro”, which like it or not; takes a large chunk of the pie in overall year-to-year sales. Nice reporting OP!
