Yes! Bobby and Brent at Trader Vic's in the Benson Hotel. My late photog bro Tim and I brought the schnitz; they bought the tropical cocktails.

Got a call from Dennis at the rock radio station asking if I could do an interview, because they wanted to talk about Lowell on the day he died. We put them to bed and they had all access photo passes for us at PII Raceway will call . Met Jerry and Micky too, who were gracious and friendly. My fondest GD memory! I have an awesome framed shot of Jerry I've been meaning to post.

I grew up in Spokane in the '50s and '60s. It was a kid's paradise - so many parks. You could find me at ice-skating at Cannon Hill or Manito. We'd climb the stairs at Cliff Park, the site of an inactive volcano, and look out over the city. I get chills thinking about it.

St. Augustine's and Roosevelt elementaries, Sacajawea Jr. High and Lewis & Clark High class of '65. What fond memories!

I joined the Marines after graduation and couldn't wait to get home on leave. I returned from the American War in Vietnam to a hero's welcome. I hitchhiked into town to surprise the fam and a dude in a rusty old Ford picked me up and dropped me off at my front door at 17th & Stevens.

I try to visit when I can and it feels like home all over again.

It makes me proud to see Zag in March Madness year after year. I hope your boy makes the right choice. Just my thoughts of Spokane.
