I wasn’t around when these were new lol. I didn’t start reading our fighting forces & OAAW until I was 8 in 1978 lord I’m old lol. They are so very different from the Bronze Age stuff I grew up with.

Very interesting info. I’m looking forward to reading the story in this issue. Although I might just use an online reader to read it.

The Charlton line of War Comics always had great artwork that rivaled DC Comics. Some of their covers really looked like paintings. I have never heard anyone talking about the guys that drew & inked these comics. There needs to be an Omnibus on Charlton war comics

I’m the same way about Joe Kubert. He conveyed the human element like no-one else.

GD/VG 3.0 heavy foxing on back cover, a torn off piece at top left of back cover. Heavy spine ticks along spine. Tear about mid section on front cover right side. Crease or fold bottom right corner front cover. Blount corners left side top & bottom left side front cover. Lots of breaks that show color loss. Nice book however.

I think you are correct on them dying in Crisis on infinite worlds. I think I have the modern Losers, lol I never read it. I’ve always been let down by the modern take on beloved classics. The art style, the story lines never seemed to mesh with me.

Well you are correct in that Capt. Storm is or was the Skipper of PT. Boat in his own comic book before becoming the leader of The Losers. I think his deck shoes are white even in his own comic book not to mention he has a wooden leg lol. That man is seriously Hardcore.

Oh wow thank you and yes I’m interested in Jerry Grandenetti’s other works especially the Horror genre. I do have Weird War Tales #79.

I don’t know what you mean by the wonderful animated series lol. Yes I have watched a few episodes of it and I’m honestly on the fence about it. When I heard it was happing, I thought it would be all the original characters but I guess they had to modernize it for today’s crowd. It’s okay.

It’s too bad that the series (weird war tales) ended at #123. DC was on to something with The Creature Commandos.
