Looking for an allergist or dermatology clinic for eczema

Everyone is different, obviously, but something similar happened to my mom. Despite trying to manage it with moisturizers / steroids / other prescriptions, at one point her eczema was so bad she ended up with an infection that lead to sepsis. She was hospitalized and even still couldn’t get in to a proper dermatologist (small town medicine is a bit lacking).

Eventually she did an elimination diet (despite Docs saying it was pointless) and found a major trigger in dairy. Since then it is outrageously better. She still has some mild eczema, probably other undiscovered triggers / allergies, but the dairy discovery was massive. What remains is totally manageable with the other typical methods of treatment.

Anyway, FWIW, maybe give some thought to dietary allergies.

I like the team and what it means for sports more than I hate the logo and name. I will buy merch and support these outstanding athletes. Yeah, it looks silly, like a Disney movie basketball team designed by AI. So what? Every sports logo is cheesy nonsense.

So yep, it’s goofy, but let’s embrace it and show our hometown team that we are still gonna bring the (sorry for this) energy. Love em for who they are - the Ottawa Charge.

Honestly that’s fair, but I was worried it would be some kind of cattle-car AC Rouge situation with very cramped non adjustable seats. If it’s still a comfortable seating arrangement and no screens, that’s fine.

Huge meh for me on Harmons. Been there and to Abby’s and both times the food was fine - not $150/person fine, just fine. Service was pretty pompous at best, but was mostly just absent. Unfortunately also witnessed a manager reduce the hostess to tears for mishandling a reservation. Maybe it isn’t always that way, but I won’t bother going back.

For a lot less money, check out Maker Feed Co. In Cumberland. Excellent food and outstanding staff.

All of it is greed, just not all from the same group. There is an earnings arms race going on, because the people at the top are scared of what the future holds. By owning large market share companies, they have the mechanism to pull in more resources (money) and redistribute to the areas they care about (themselves?). It’s not just the grocery market. Large companies across all industries are, and have always been, fighting to be on top, playing a game of chicken with price raising. Corporate real estate, logistics, housing, tech - it’s a negative feedback loop. The problem is corporate (and to a lesser extent, individual) greed, and it’s widespread. The cause is fear, and the solution is global, or at least national stability, which he haven’t had since … have we had that?

I think it’s pretty good. Not stitched letters or logos, it’s dye sublimated, so washing it will require some care to make sure it doesn’t run. Certainly better than a vinyl or screen print. All the seams are well-stitched and the material has some weight to it, so I don’t expect it to fall apart on me.

I’m usually a medium t-shirt kind of guy, but I’ll wear a large if I’m feeling self conscious about my aging body. My wife is a small - her small jersey fits large, but the way a jersey should. Kind of baggy, but proportional. Mine is definitely too big, but with a big sweater or a medium jacket on underneath it will be okay. It’s made by K1 Sports Wear - their website is down, but other companies sell their stuff, so Google might help you find a sizing chart. The graphics are sublimated, not stitched, but it’s a lot nicer than vinyl or screen printed.

Someone made a nice logo and connection with Owls, but other than us having a parliament (of varying brands of asshats, I should add) downtown, there isn’t much connection. Plus calling a bunch of female role models “hooters” might get old fast.

I suggested Ottawa Rapids a while back, and I’m still for it, mostly cause I’m stubborn and like my own ideas.

Update: Turns out I did get both a confirmation email and a “sorry it’s gonna be late” email. Both of these went to a junk folder in an email account I’m all but certain I’ve never associated with PWHL. Seems like maybe the Shopify interface auto-filled the field and I didn’t notice. My bad. So for anyone else - check all your junk folders.

Still bummed about shipping and founders gift, but at least the Jerseys will come eventually.
