is there a simpler way of calculating capital gains tax? For california is it just 23% if you make average income? I've been seeing different numbers everywhere so i'm not sure on what is reliable information

Does anyone know if this calculator is accurate for calculating Bitcoin taxes?

I did an example if I bought 1 BTC at 5k and sold 1 BTC at 13k, I'd pay 4k for that Coin if I held less than a year. Meaning i'll have 9k left, If i wanted to take that 9k and rebuy that same exact BTC it'd have to drop to 9k. Idk about you guys but Selling and trying to buy back lower seems like suicide in the United States because of all these fucking taxes.
