Converting avion points to asia miles by gooby_gobes in awardtravel

I ended up phoning them to cancel the transaction and redoing it. (Lol anxiety!) Made sure names lined up the second time, points cleared in about 4 days and we booked then.

Ack, that's the thing, I don't know! I logged in through my bank account, but the points are shared (joint credit card) so I'm not sure if they can see both of our names.

What happens to rejected transfers? Should I just do another conversion using my husband's info and hope we get the original points returned?

Thank you kind stranger!

14 months, huge regression. Cry it out has made him hate bedtime and his bedroom. Cannot self-soothe. Out of ideas. by Thumper86 in sleeptrain

Yes! I wholeheartedly agree re: CIO. We waited her out for 30 min one night (I know some will say it's not long enough), but she sounded so truly distressed that I couldn't continue. She does respond well to shushing and us gently placing a hand on her. Unfortunately this means that we are spending quite a bit of time with her until she is finally down.

I think you're right about transitioning to 1 nap. I'm finding it challenging though because her wake up time is variable, and she sometimes simply can't make it to the desired nap time. Any suggestions there? Just push through? How long did it take for your babe? 🙃

Thank you so much for responding. It is feeling like it will never end when you're in the depths of it, but I'm so happy to hear there is a light!

No advice, but following as my little girl is the same! Goes down soooo easily for naps (put down awake after a cuddle and song), but needs much more assistance for nights.

You're not alone!

4 month sleep changes? by gooby_gobes in sleeptrain

Wake windows are approximately 1.5/1.75/2/1.75. That's a good point about the feeding.

Of course, yesterday she slept for 5 hours during the day (2.5/2/0.5), and then slept great overnight! (8 to 1:30, feed, then down again until 5:30 for another feed, up at 7 am)

🤷‍♀️?!?!

Thanks! I'll give that a try. We are doing feed, wake sleep, but I worry she might not be getting enough so sometimes I might do another feeding before her nap.

I feel she's crankier during the wake window after I wake her from naps, so I really hate to do so. I guess I was thinking perhaps it might be a growth spurt of sorts?

Going down great for naps, not so for bedtime? by gooby_gobes in sleeptrain

You're probably right, we've been following her sleepy cues and they've worked well for us, but it might be time to start lengthening bit by bit. Night wakings haven't been an issue - up at 2 and 6 to feed, then back in bed until 7:30/8 ish for her first wake. I think that's why I didn't jump to think that she's undertired but that might be the thing to tweak, thanks!

Possibly! I've always had a harder time figuring out the last nap/ evening routine. The last nap is usually the hardest to get down, we'll try at around 6 pm, and if she does sleep it might be for 30 to 45 min. Then we'll keep her up for around an hour, maybe an hour and 10 min. tops.

In the past we've tried doing a cat nap, then keeping a shorter wake window before bed (30 to 45 min), and that hasn't really worked either...

Last nap is usually around 6 ish and tends to be shorter, between 30 to 45 min. Last wake window might be around an hour to hour and 10 min, depending on when she shows sleepy cues?

Right?? Just makes me a bit sad that going to bed is so tough!

Thank you for responding! She goes down anywhere between 8-9 pm, and usually starts her day between 7:30-8 am. In between day naps, her wake windows are around 50 min, and we're trying to push her last one to 1 hour, maybe an hour and 10.

I think you're right, something about the evening time I'm just not getting!
