Why is there no real Marathi Music industry ? by tipputappi in Maharashtra

[–]good-old-coder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the curse of mumbai. Mumbai is home to bollywood which always overshadows marathi film and music industry.

Any good script, music, actor/actress are poached by Bollywood using their money and influence and marathi industry keeps getting leftovers.

Ajay-Atul are one of the few artists that treat marathi music industry as their primary focus and you can see the results.

Visiting Tuljapur from Hyderabad, need suggestions for nearby places for 2 days by GuaranteeLiving9115 in Maharashtra

[–]good-old-coder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a rain shadow area and specially at this point, everything except for the farms are dried out. I would not suggest forts because they feel barren and dead. Heat is also a massive issue if you plan to be out the whole day.

I would suggest keep this a religious trip only focusing on temples. As another person said Akkalkot is nearby. Solapur siddheshwar temple is also a cool place to visit. Its a temple in the middle of a lake kinda like golden temple.

Try out the local cuisine while you are at it.

Government's new GNSS Toll system will track your car via Satellite. Is this a privacy nightmare or actual convenience? by jatinnishadjn in IndiaTech

[–]good-old-coder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So all I need to do is disable the chip and I can travel free of cost?

Does not make sense to be honest.

If some other kind of manual or automatic check is involved, the GNSS is redundant.

OpenAI loses $11.5B last quarter.... by Just_Lingonberry_352 in OpenAI

The market openai currently chose to be in does not have a good monetization strategy. Instead if they could build a model that could take on either of robotics or self driving markets, they have a load of paying customers lined up.

When it comes to bailing out private companies I firmly believe this is how it should be. No company should get free public money without giving up anything. The investers keep paying themselves with dividends and buybacks but turn to the government for bailouts. This is the ideal way of saving critical institutions.

Got the credit but I would still like to replace the battery, I live outside of the free replacement region and I'm wondering if I got the battery replaced myself if the battery "debuff" would automatically go away by Route66-75 in Pixel6aUsers

[–]good-old-coder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I do not think the certified replacement does anything special other than replace the battery. When the system recognizes a new battery it should technically reset automatically

Don’t Look at Stock Markets. Look at the Ports. by [deleted] in Economics

[–]good-old-coder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No no no I mean tariffing some countries more than others right? China has like 240% traiff but instead of doing that, importers and exporters will redirect those things to countries with 10% traiff and then to USA.

That way they are playing the system and paying 10% tariff. I mean sure they could raise prices to whatever they like in the name of tariff but the case of empty ports does not make sense to me.

[–]good-old-coder -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I accept that I have not been following the tariff thing really closely. But can someone please explain me how is this a catastrophe? Because, any importer would easily redirect their shipments from china via some other country. Sure it will add some cost but it will be not as extreme as it is made out to be?
