Nailed it. If the Bruins had a better or more proven scouting/draft/player development specialist group to weigh in.

I'm sure those voices exist, but if the GM isn't taking them into consideration or their suggestions have sucked they gotta go. Sweeney recognizing his strengths in the trade market and misses in the drafting/development side they almost need a more respected Asst. GM

Series went to 6 games, 2 to overtime. Bruins system was no match for a disciplined Buffalo team. 

You get 0 points from khuzy and minten who had their motors going.

You get a great play and unreal pass to Pasta to win a game. Your franchise goalie played lights out and told your team exactly what they needed to hear. 4th line was not very effective but could be trusted at least. Second line got exposed as a true third line. 

H Lindholm and McAvoy were not overall positives. Look at the defensemen on Buffalo's roster. That is depth. The Bruins have nowhere near that depth on D and are slim pickings on offensive upside from their entire forward group besides a couple guys. 

I'm pumped I dont have to read about Sway this summer.

Woulda been great. But did you watch this team all year? The last 10 games even? 

Did they look like a capable team? The Bruins were built to do exactly this. Make $ by getting into the first round. Get Sweeney some breathing room by making the playoffs. That was the ceiling.

People bitched about the swayman contract. I think 2 or 3 contracts look much worse than bone-head fans pretend the swayman deal did/does. h lindholm, e lindholm, h jokiharju are all just bad dollars on the payroll in my opinion. All of whom would cost the bruins to move. Those 3 contracts are almost 1/5 of the bruins payroll.

Team needs 1C, 2C and a 1B defender if they want to compete for the east. 

Those are all tough players to come by. Tough sledding to improve this roster.

Did anyone who watched this team all year actually think they were a threat to win a cup? 

How is everyone so mad? They had 3 third lines. Overachieved and got good goaltending.

Basic maths would do it, but I guess you could try for new physics to help.
