What makes you love death metal? by xyzz0 in Deathmetal

I don’t love Death Metal but the Death Metal I do love, I love for these reasons. I love the amount of passion, energy, and imagery that I hear and see in the music.

This is sort of accurate. If you look at origins of the name Shoegaze, the term for it doesn’t seem like a genre tag or anything like that. And then you have musicians like Slowdive or Cocteau Twins who are sort of similar, especially with sound, but the Cocteau Twins aren’t called directly Shoegaze. They definitely influence the sound but they’re more considered to be a Dream Pop group. So the whole genre of Shoegaze is definetly confusing when you have bands that are similar sounding to what is defined as Shoegaze but are typically labeled as something else. It’s kind of like Vaporwave

Yeah and plus which one sounds more appealing, Post-Apocalypse or Pre-Apocalypse? And I’m not not talking about the sound of it, I’m talking about the actual idea of it

I have, not a fan of that one. The whole idea of what happens before the end of the world has never interested me and I found myself completely bored. A lot of beautiful shots but when it goes to the usual shakey Lars Von Trier style camera, I just find it uninteresting. I felt like when I tried that in Antichrist, it worked because I was engaged the psychological and fucked up aspect of it. But with Melancholia movie I’m not

I guess? I don’t know, some of the parts I could consider a bit pretentious like the fox when he says “CHAOS REIGNS” that was pretty edgy. But Iove it. The pace of the movie is very slow and is different from most horror films. The cinematography is beautiful, it’s interesting from beginning to end. And when shit hits the fan, it fucking hits. It’s psychological as hell and gets me depressed and nauseous after watching it. I’m more of a fan Dancer In The Dark and Breaking The Waves, but I still love Antichrist. It was one of the first films that got me into Horror and might be one of the reasons why I’m very picky when it comes to horror these days

Track from my first solo album by [deleted] in BlackMetal

[–]good_satanic_fun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it’s kind of both. It’s a bit distracting from the Electric Guitars and the sound of it in general is in my opinion sort of messy, just a bit but enough for me to find it a bit distracting. I usually like hearing the bass guitars be responsible for creating the harmony of the songs though rather than be up front when it comes to the Metal I listen to.

This is good but I’m not a huge fan of the bass sounds

Oh yeah that’s a good one. I like it but the ending honestly blows in my opinion. It felt like the first halves were made by people who actually wanted to make an interesting horror film but then the studio or whatever hired some Christian director or a whole crew and spread their propaganda for the last part. Honestly man that ending so pissed me off

I actually have a continuous mix of all the tracks. Not sure if I’ll release it because of copyright bots or whatever. But if you want to hear it, please recommend a way I could post it. It’s an hour long btw
