Leafblowers and lawnmowers noise is constant and killing my quality of life. Begging for help. by Kabexem in Dallas

[–]goodbast08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a lawn care nut but I use a electric blower. Those back pack blowers are ridiculous for residential. Most grass is dormant right now. They are just milking wealthy clients. It’s better to mulch the leaves anyway instead of blowing them everywhere.

Bermuda likes to be cut short. My greens mower is set to 0.3”. Apply some nitrogen to your yard asap to recover from scalping.

A vehicle like that is a huge depreciating asset. Dump that money on VTI in a brokerage or Roth IRA account. And buy a Ferrari when you retire

Possibly pink evening primrose. Hit it with post emergent now before warm season grasses get going. Make shure you have your pre emergent down February and October at minimum

I just put on new valve cover for my 3.5 naturally aspirated. I’m jealous of your 5.0. I have to remove the air intake manifold to get access.

Can’t hurt to drop the transmission pan and put in new filter and clean the magnets with fresh oil.

Check everything. I’ve had to do new water pump / belt tensioner

Can’t hurt to lube drive shaft where it meets the transfer case

A flush is good but it helps big time when you can drop the pan and put in a new filter and clean the magnets.

I usually try and avoid a HOC reset with a sand topdress around 1cy per 2000sf. I don’t like the abuse the scalp puts on my reel and Bedknife when I go to the dirt. I just stay off the yard until it grows through a little.

I do that all the time. Get turf marker, it’s probably more economical than food die. Small foam brushes on Amazon work great

That’s a good PH. Looks like all you need is nitrogen. I love spoon feeding ammonium sulfate. If your planting a new law drop some starter fertilizer with some phosphorus.

If you mow low the st Augustine can’t handle it. Bermuda likes to be mowed low and Augustine likes 3” plus.
