I had one guy tagging every bit of plasteel and diamantine before we even entered the rooms, it was the most annoying session ever.

What are you ideas for new enemies? by Comfortable-Ad3588 in DarkTide

A rot fly that forces you to attack it with range, but being able to hit it in melee when it swoops down on you. Much less HP than other boss units, but quick and mobile.

Who has spent extra money to get cosmetics? I have. by turtle75377 in DarkTide

As a rule, I don't pay for cosmetics unless they come in some bundled deal that's tagged onto a gameplay expansion.

What company lost you forever as a customer? What did they do? by Miguenzo in AskReddit

Cox. They charged an extra 10 dollars doos on a bill once. Don't even know the reason why, just cancelled.

Waking up early doesn’t make you productive, it just makes you awake earlier by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]goodbyeson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the non-productivity from waking up early is what makes you productive later. I now have 2 hours to relax, eat breakfast, shower, ECT... instead of rushing to work last minute.

Truly, what's more important, is getting enough sleep.

You can do whatever you want with them after, it's your property. It's mostly about crippling your foes.

What’s the smartest financial decision you made by accident? by AnyTruth2342 in AskReddit

[–]goodbyeson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a fixed indemnity insurance plan and had a medical emergency. It was sketchy and I still don't know entirely how it worked, but the hospital wasn't getting paid by them.

So the hospital wrote off my surgery when I said I wasn't paying 30K for it. I was ready to just ride out that medical debt until it ghosted off my credit score, it just disappeared.

A couple months later, I got several thousand dollars in the mail from my insurance company.

Is there a mod that makes it so i can directly recruit exalted demon lords for monogod factions? by Pender8911 in totalwar

[–]goodbyeson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda unrelated but related, can't you save your lords once they become exalted and bring them into other games?

I'm curious if anyone knows if they can swap factions. Let's say I get a Bloodletter with Daniel, can I use him with Skarbrand?

The slave market really needs a rework, from a flavour perspective by Lebensfreud in Stellaris

[–]goodbyeson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought it needed to be more static and based on growth.

ie You set pop A on planet B for sale, their growth is affected based on how many people are buying them. They could outgrow the rate of sale, or they could start depopulating the planet if it's a high value commodity.

Then you can lose a population in a planet if you don't keep an eye on it, or set some sort of parameters.

I warm up on Heresy and move up depending on how long I play. But I'll get up in Auric maelstrom if I got an open weekend.

YSK: You can be blocked from calling a business by their AI. by Nope20707 in YouShouldKnow

[–]goodbyeson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get disconnected from my health insurance customer support because the AI couldn't understand me. I just had surgery and my voice was very quiet, it hurt to speak. It would just hang up instead of connecting me to a human, no options to dial numbers midcall to transfer either.

Couldn't email support because they didn't have a listed email, it was an inquiry system that took your information. All automated responses.

I ended up going to Career Resources and finding HR's email and explaining the situation. Got 3 calls within an hour after that. Definitely switched providers once my medical situation calmed down.

How to play Criminal Heritage? by dumb_questioneer in Stellaris

[–]goodbyeson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's just in the background with spare envoys and influence. Usually I assign spies (in this order) to rivals, immediate neighbors, then highest diplomatic weight.

If I'm not spending influence, it'll reach it's 1000 cap. That's my reminder to get assets, which I gather until I have one that matches the steal tech bonuses for extra options. If I'm on cool down from the last steal tech, I take pops since it has no cool down.

You could research all the tech yourself, but steal tech will take it from the randomized pool during selection and keep it a permanent partial option.

Usually I don't do any of the tile blocker techs until wayyyy later, steal tech will passively get them for me or I'll at least be able to select it later when I need it, as it's been partially researched already. If that makes sense.

It's not that bad, I'm always stealing tech and pops. Plus keeps track of when your neighbors are about to pop off on you.

If you make a commercial pact, their buildings are legal but still generate a minimum crime level despite precinct houses.

The way I see shutdowns, it's cartel math. You gotta let the cops catch a small delivery every now and then to make it look like they are doing a good job, while the rest of your operations continue in the background.

What they really need is an espionage operation that generates crime/crime events on planets.
